Job summary

NETGEAR is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to validate Embedded Linux firmware, middleware, networking services, and REST APIs for next‑gen managed PDUs and edge devices. Responsibilities

• Firmware & System Validation: Validate Embedded Linux firmware and middleware features across the product lifecycle.
• Functional Testing: Validate outlet control, scheduling, power sequencing, and energy monitoring features.
• Embedded Linux Validation: Verify boot sequence, system services, resource usage, and storage integrity.
• Networking Validation: Test Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP/Static IP, DNS, NTP, HTTPS, SSH, and SNMP/REST APIs.
• Embedded Web UI Validation: Validate UI functionality, authentication, session handling, and OTA workflow.
• Hardware Integration Testing: Validate relay control, outlet status, power sequencing, and sensor readings.
• Reliability Testing: Conduct long-duration, stress, memory leak, and OTA interruption testing.
• Automation: Develop automated validation using NETGEAR's test framework.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to validate next-generation Managed Power Distribution Units (PDUs) used in enterprise IT infrastructure, AV systems, and edge computing environments.

This role focuses on validating Embedded Linux firmware, middleware, networking services, embedded web applications, REST APIs, configuration management, telemetry, OTA updates, and hardware/software integration, as well as the remote management from local controller and Cloud web portal.

The engineer will work closely with firmware, hardware, cloud, and ODM engineering teams to ensure high product quality throughout development and production.

Responsibilities

Firmware & System Validation

• Validate Embedded Linux firmware and middleware features throughout the product lifecycle.
• Verify firmware functionality across multiple hardware revisions.
• Execute feature validation, regression testing, and system integration testing.
• Validate firmware upgrade and downgrade flows.
• Verify configuration persistence across reboot and power cycles.
• Validate watchdog recovery and fault recovery mechanisms.

Functional Testing

Automation

Develop automated validation for PDU with NETGEAR’s existing test automation framework.

Required Qualifications
