Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee production support for mission-critical risk applications and facilitate daily regulatory sign-off processes for the risk management function.
• Manage daily batch processing operations and coordinate upstream/downstream data feed integrations.
• Lead disaster recovery planning and capacity management initiatives.
• Drive automation, implement monitoring and alerting systems, and ensure operational excellence.
• Provide team leadership, knowledge transfer, onboarding and training for new members.
• Coordinate release management, change, incident and problem management processes.
• Maintain effective stakeholder engagement and collaborate with Level 3 support teams.
• Manage global follow-to-sun rotation schedules and cross-time-zone handovers.

Divisional Overview:

The Wholesale Production Services team collaborates with Risk & Capital IT to develop and maintain software solutions that support the Risk Management division. Our operations span globally across EMEA, the United States, Japan, Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan) and emerging markets including India, Brazil and China.

Our portfolio encompasses a comprehensive range of risk products and models, including Value at Risk (VaR), Stress Testing Scenarios, Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB), Inventory management, Comprehensive Risk Measure (CRM) models, Risk Limits, Credit Exposure calculations, Stress Testing frameworks and back-testing validation systems.

The India Risk Production Services team serves as a vital component of our global technology network, which operates across the United States, United Kingdom, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, and China. Through strategic partnerships with regional teams, we deliver comprehensive technology support to Risk business units worldwide, executing priorities outlined in the Global Book of Work. Our team provides specialized support for critical business functions, with particular focus on Market Risk and Credit Risk systems infrastructure.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Production Support & Risk Operations : Oversee production support for mission-critical risk applications and facilitate daily regulatory sign-off processes for the risk management function
• Data Processing & Integration : Manage daily batch processing operations and coordinate upstream/downstream data feed integrations
• Infrastructure Management : Lead disaster recovery planning and capacity management initiatives
• Process Optimization : Drive automation initiatives, implement monitoring and alerting systems, and maintain operational excellence
• Team Leadership : Provide team management, facilitate knowledge transfer, and oversee onboarding and training programs for new team members
• Service Management : Coordinate release management activities and handle change, incident, and problem management processes
• Stakeholder Engagement : Maintain effective business communication and collaborate closely with Level 3 support teams
• Global Operations : Manage global follow-to-sun rotation schedules and ensure seamless handover processes across time zones

Mandatory Skill Set :

• Banking and capital market functional knowledge
• Database, Autosys, SNOW, Unix, Shell scripting, Python, AWS, Microservices, Containers

Desired Skill Set :

• Working experience in Investment banking
• Working experience of supporting applications in Risk domain
• Database MSSQL, Oracle, Unix Shell Scripting, Python and automation knowledge.
• Working exposure on AI tools suitable for production services role.
• Working experience of ITIL processes and PS procedures
• Understanding of Client Server architecture, REST APIs, Microservices
• Understanding of Docker containers and DevOps principles
