Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Sr Staff/Staff Engineer to lead end-to-end display and system validation for next-gen Snapdragon platforms. You will own the display pipeline validation across GPU, DPU, and display interfaces while advancing automation and cross-functional debugging.

The role requires deep expertise in the display stack, system interoperability, AI/DSP validation, and scalable quality outcomes. Excellent collaboration with OEM partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 6+ years in software validation or related work.
• Strong programming in C/C++/Java/Python.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation for validation.
• Experience with display validation across GPU/DPU and integration layers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation of the complete display pipeline: GPU → DPU → Display Interfaces (eDP, DP, HDMI, Type-C).
• Drive feature-level validation and debugging across PSR, VRR, DSC, HDR, HDCP.
• Own multi-OEM device validation across HP, Dell, Lenovo, and others.
• Drive power, hibernate, and multi-configuration testing across diverse system scenarios.
• Lead automation of Display and AI validation workloads using automation frameworks.
• Design and maintain CI/CD-integrated pipelines for continuous regression testing and multi-device parallel execution.

Key Responsibilities

Display Validation

• Lead validation of the complete display pipeline: GPU → DPU → Display Interfaces (eDP, DP, HDMI, Type-C)
• Drive feature-level validation and debugging across:
  • PSR (Panel Self Refresh), VRR, DSC, HDR, HDCP
  • Multi-display, external display, and docking station scenarios
  • Resolution & bandwidth topics: FHD, 2K, 4K — including timing analysis and link training
• Perform deep cross-layer debugging spanning driver, firmware, OS, and hardware interaction layers

System Interoperability (IOP)

• Own multi-OEM device validation across HP, Dell, Lenovo, and other key OEM partners
• Drive power, hibernate, and multi-configuration testing across diverse system scenarios
• Collaborate with OEM partners on hardware inventory expansion including USB4 v2, DP 2.1, and HDMI 2.1 scenarios

Automation & CI/CD

• Lead automation of Display and AI validation workloads using automation frameworks
• Design and maintain CI/CD-integrated pipelines for:
  • Continuous regression testing
  • Multi-device parallel execution
  • Auto-triggered execution pipelines for large-scale validation

System-Level Debugging

• Lead log analysis and root cause identification for complex, cross-functional issues
• Perform cross-layer debugging across driver, OS, firmware, and DSP domains

USB4 Certification

• Drive USB4 compliance and interoperability validation
• Debug certification issues and contribute to TAT (Turn-Around Time) reduction for certification programs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
