Role Overview
This Sr. Staff Engineer will provide technical leadership and execution of hardware development for the RH850 Motor Control and Automotive Application Platform. The role drives architecture, design quality and technical execution while collaborating closely with systems, firmware/software, validation and platform leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hardware architecture, design and implementation for RH850 motor control and automotive application platforms.
- Drive hardware technical decisions to ensure robustness, scalability, cost effectiveness and alignment with platform requirements.
- Own hardware execution from concept, through design and validation to qualification and production readiness.
- Collaborate with systems, firmware/software, validation and product engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware‑software integration.
- Support regulatory compliance, qualification and Global Market Access (GMA) readiness for hardware deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate hardware‑related technical risks to ensure predictable execution and high quality.
- Contribute to reference designs, development platforms and documentation to enable broad customer adoption.
- Act as a technical mentor, influence best practices and raise the bar for hardware design excellence.
Qualifications
- B. Tech/M. Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field with 12+ years of experience.
- Hands‑on experience with Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis for high‑speed digital, mixed‑signal and power‑dense designs; applying SI/PI best practices in schematic design, PCB layout, stack‑up definition, decoupling strategies and grounding.
- Deep expertise in embedded hardware design, including MCU‑based systems, motor control circuits and power electronics.
- Proven experience delivering embedded hardware designs from concept through production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting embedded development platforms or reference designs with broad customer adoption.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance and Global Market Access (GMA) requirements for global automotive markets.
