Six Senses Fort Barwara is seeking a Senior Spa Therapist to lead the spa team and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting. You will oversee treatments, mentor therapists, and uphold Six Senses standards in all operations.

The role requires a relevant degree and extensive spa experience, with strong English communication. You will participate in sustainability initiatives and maintain high service quality across all spa activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical education preferred with 5+ years in luxury spa roles.
• Certificates in anatomy and physiology, massage therapy, beauty therapy (NVQ/ITEC/CIDESCO).
• Knowledge of facial, nail or beauty technology and spa treatment equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and oversee efficient spa operations to meet brand standards.
• Lead therapists to deliver consistent treatments and outstanding guest experiences.
• Organize and perform spa treatments per standards and ensure rooms stocked and ready.
• Provide prompt, courteous service and attend to guest needs and complaints.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the spa and treatment rooms, and monitor equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Senior Spa Therapist, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

• Assist and assume responsibility on the efficient operation of the Spa department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.
• Assist fitness instructors and hosts to ensure that they can perform their services professionally and accurately in a timely manner.
• Organize and perform treatments as standards.
• Make sure treatment rooms have enough supplies at all times as per standards.
• Request and log stock of supplies necessary for the treatment rooms.
• Set up the treatment rooms as per standards.
• Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to guests at all times.
• Serve the welcome drink or other menu offerings to the guests when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the Spa and treatment rooms.
• Maintain the equipment I use in safe conditions.
• Handle guest complaints and record all guest comments.
• Log all product recommendations to guests.
• Fill in documents / controls / reports for duty (stocks, daily logbook if any, lost found, guest comments).
• Carry out when required stock count, both retail and professional stock.
• Monitor usage of products.
• Evaluate the operations and procedures and suggest improvements to the Spa Management.
• Lead and motivate all therapists to a level of service which exceeds all guests expectations by facilitating teamwork and ensuring all treatments are performed in a consistent manner and in the time allocated.
• Provide departmental orientation to newly recruited Hosts.
• Assist Spa Reception whenever needed.
• Ensure hosts perform opening and closing according to Six Senses Spas standards.
• Check and set up daily operations of the Spa according to Six Senses Spas standards.
• Provide all relevant training reports to the spa and home office.
• Carry out monthly training with Spa Team following the individual training plan for each Host as well as other training needs outlined on the training calendar.
• Appraise all therapists therapy skills in conjunction with Asst. Spa Manager.
• Regularly update knowledge and skills in massage / beauty therapies.
• As Sustainability champion of location ensure: Reports are completed in due time, yearly goals actioned and planned according to Six Senses plan, work closely with resort on environmental activities, ensure team is aware of sustainability actions and energy saving procedures and monitor plastic usage and work on eliminating it
• Upsell all fitness, spa and wellness activities.
• Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Senior Spa Therapist, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent in physical education preferred and at least 5 years experience in a similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven certificates.
• Graduated or have broad knowledge on anatomy and physiology, massage therapy, beauty therapy at either NVQ, ITEC or CIDESCO.
• Understanding and specialization of various beauty product, aesthetic appliances, its specifications and uses. Knowledge in use of facial, nail or other beauty technology as required to fulfil spa treatments.
• Technical skills include MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I keep myself updated with the latest trends in fitness and wellness.
• Fluent in English.
