Catalyst Brands is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst, Business Insights in Bengaluru to lead retail and merchandising reporting, collaborating with senior stakeholders across planning, buyers, and business analytics.

The role emphasizes data visualization, KPI tracking, and actionable insights using SQL, Power BI, Python, and Tableau. You will own weekly and ad-hoc reporting workflows, develop dashboards, and leverage AI/ML tools to support predictive analytics and decision-making within the Plano

• 4+ years of experience in Retail and Merchandising reporting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Sr. Data Analyst, Business Insights

Job Functions

• 4+ years of experience in Retail and Merchandising reporting
• Communicates with various levels of management including P&A Managers, Leads, other merchandising leaders, buyers, business analysts and planners.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and support strategic planning and allocation initiatives.
• Understand business’ reporting requirements to develop and deliver reports to be reviewed and confirmed by the Plano leader, buyers, and business analysts.
• Responsible for executing weekly reporting on various reporting platforms using tools and systems such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI & Python.
• Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses to address specific business questions and challenges.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key performance metrics and design actionable performance reports that support decision‑support solutions.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of internal databases and data sources to streamline data extraction and analysis processes.
• Analyze historical data to identify patterns and trends, offering insights that support planning and allocation decisions.
• Redefine and make functional changes to enhance existing Business Intelligence data availability and enhance the performance of current reports.
• Design and deliver training programs on reporting tools, and data analysis techniques.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in P&A and data analysis.
• Leverage AI and Machine Learning tools to support predictive analytics, automation, and decision‑support solutions.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Advanced Excel (VBA, Power Query and Power Pivots ), Power BI, SQL, Datameer, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Python and other reporting tools.
• Experience with MicroStrategy, JDA, PIM or other related inventory management systems.
• Proficient in AI/ML tools.
• Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate and Apps).
• Experience with data extraction, cleaning, and manipulation.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques.
