Job summary

Blue Yonder is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Solutions Consultant to drive functional implementations, leverage AI/ML algorithms for forecasting, and coordinate with customer executives to design effective project deliverables.

You will partner with Project Managers, Product Management, and Development teams to translate business needs into functional specifications, conduct workshops, and lead end-user training while maintaining high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 12–14 years of hands-on experience as a functional consultant providing supply chain solutions.
• Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or Operations Research preferred; Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience acceptable.
• Relevant consulting and implementation experience with leading supply chain planning solutions (Oracle, SAP, ERP) expected.
• Strong business analysis skills and understanding of SCM concepts; familiarity with tactical planning.
• APICS certification or TOGAF will be a plus.
• Experience in management consulting or Supply Chain Center of Excellence settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with detailed project plan task details using work breakdown structure.
• Develop/Utilize AI/ML algorithms in statistical forecasting space; proficient with R and Python.
• Lead workshops to flush out as-is and to-be states; write solution design documents.
• Write functional specifications during design phase to support the solution design.
• Develop end-user training content and test scripts; coordinate user acceptance testing.
• Provide guidance to Support Services for technical issues and ensure knowledge transfer to customer teams.
• Communicate project risks and escalate issues affecting schedule, scope, or budget.
• Travel extensively as required by client engagements.

  • Works with project team to ensure smooth and efficient implementation and integration between technical and functional system requirements.
  • Ability to deliver in faster go-lives using agile methodology
  • Ability to lead faster deployments focused on value delivery.
  • Works as a functional liaison between Project Team and key customer executives. Has knowledge of either Blue Yonder Demand Fulfillment, Allocation, Enterprise Planning, Assortment and Category Management.
  • Has working experience of AI/ ML algorithms in supply chain
  • Works with all levels of Blue Yonder associates in developing functional specifications, analysis of user needs and testing.
  • Participates in business process analysis or design/construction phase of the project that leads to writing functional specifications.
  • Works on development of functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports, and screens that meet the customers business objectives and are of sound design.
  • Provides advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology.
  • Understands how Blue Yonder solutions (Demand Fulfillment, Allocation, Enterprise Planning, Assortment and Category Management) can be configured to better facilitate client business processes.
  • Escalates issues that may have negative scheduling impact. Always conducts oneself in a professional manner with Blue Yonder customers and internal associates.
  • Ensures the security and integrity of corporate assets and intellectual property. Ensures compliance with the internal and external company policies and procedures

What you ll do:

• Assists Project Managers in planning efforts including detailed project plan task detail (work breakdown structure) based on the specific phase/need of the project
• Communicates and/or supports the business cases to Product Management Group and Product Development regarding specific trends for future product functionality and enhancements.
• Expert in developing / utilizing AI/ ML algorithms in statistical forecasting space
• Working experience of R, python packages
• As required, ability to represent Blue Yonder in industry conferences workshops preferred
• Ability to execute projects single-handedly with high delivery quality
• Facilitates/leads business diagnostics, process analysis and/or design workshops to help flush out as-is and desired to-be solution state and ultimately writes a solution design document to support business requirements
• Leads the writing of functional specifications during the design phase of the project that supports the documented solution design
• Develops functional business process test scripts (step by step instructional how to do) which outline new or updated end-user functional processes supported by the solution design which may include standard application functionality, customized modifications, data interfaces, reports/layouts, Prepares for and conducts customized end-user training workshops to support application training content outside of base application knowledge / Blue Yonder Certifications
• Is a thought leader in their Product Solution area of focus and is able to apply that knowledge to customer situations
• Provides advice to customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology
• Recognizes and highlights incremental revenue opportunities with existing customers/projects.
• Serves as a functional liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Blue Yonder project team, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors
• Understands how the Blue Yonder solutions within the area of focus can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes (ensuring the ability to design, execute, and deliver)
• Setup and coordinate user acceptance testing efforts which will support final acceptance and critical phase sign-off by the business owners
• Follows up on cases opened with Blue Yonder Support Services to help in resolving defects for the customer.
• Provides non-technical end user support during the go-live and post-go-live period
• Ensures knowledge transfer is conducted with key customer project team/end users to maximize the customers on their own success after Blue Yonder s project roll-off
• Communicate project risks that may have a negative impact on the project schedule, scope or budget
• Escalate project issues which surface and cannot be quickly resolved which will have an impact on the project schedule, scope, or budget
• Completes assigned and agreed to work within the allotted time and with a high level of quality
• Always conducts oneself in a professional manner with Blue Yonder customers and internal associates

What we are looking for:

• 12 - 14 years of hands on experience, as a functional consultant providing supply chain solutions for customers required. Either a customer of Blue Yonder or as a consultant implementing Blue Yonder solutions for customers preferred.
• Advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or Operations Research preferred. A combination of Bachelor s degree and relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degree
• Relevant solutions consulting and implementation experience with other leading supply chain planning solutions such as Oracle, SAP, or leading ERP may be considered.
• Strong business analysis skills, understanding and usage of statistical algorithms, SCM concepts, awareness of tactical planning on overall supply chain required
• Relevant industry certification from APICS , TOGAF will be a plus
• Current or prior experience working in Management consulting organization or Supply Chain Center or Excellence settings preferred
• Skill set and availability requirements as per the organizations needs
• Knowledge in performance tuning techniques is added advantage.
• Provides guidance to Support Services in responding to base technical issues.
• Understanding and experience with the technical requirements for the product line assigned.
• Understanding of Database structures. Understanding of various technical platforms and infrastructures.
• Understands Blue Yonder product suite to convey relationships and touch points to the customer.
• Works with appropriate parties to ensure issues are resolved.
• Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user and management. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required
• Extensive Travel required.
