Job summary

Simplify Alpha in Pune is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer - SQL to contribute as an individual developer across the software lifecycle. You will work with Developers and Product Managers in Agile teams, designing and developing SQL-based solutions, and assisting with deployments and releases.

The ideal candidate brings 5–8 years of MS SQL Server experience, strong SQL scripting skills, and familiarity with SSIS. Shift rotation and collaboration with business teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher technical degree from a recognized institute.
• 5–8 years of software development experience using MS SQL Server.
• Strong SQL Server 2016+ features knowledge (Stored Procedures, Jobs, Functions, Triggers).
• Ability to interpret requirements and write SQL scripts.
• DB migrations to MS SQL Server knowledge.
• DDL/DML/DCL, query tuning, performance optimization.
• Knowledge of SSIS is mandatory.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
• Nice-to-have: Azure Data Factory, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Agile/Sprints.

The Sr. Software Engineer - SQL will be responsible for SQL development in SQL server. This is an individual contributor role and will work with other Developers and Product Managers throughout the software development lifecycle, including unit testing. You will be guided in Agile frameworks and popular coding languages to fulfil our business needs.

Requirements:

• The candidate should have completed B.E. / BTech / B.C.A. / M.E. / MTech /, M.C.A /M.C.M from a recognized institute.
• Should have 5 to 8 years experience in software development using MS SQL Server.
• Primary skills of SQL Server 2016 and above.
• Ability to interpret requirements and write SQL scripts.
• Know all features of SQL Server2016 Stored Procedure, SQL Jobs, Functions and Triggers.
• Good understanding on databasemigration from different sources to MS SQL server.
• Good knowledge on DDL/DML/DCL queries, query tuning& performance optimization.
• Knowledge of SSIS is mandatory.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with all level of people of the organization.
• Candidate should be willing to work in rotational shifts.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Azure Data factory, Postgres database is a plus.
• JIRA, Azure DO, SVN, CI CD, GIT HUB, Any AI Tool knowledge is plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Experience in Agile methodology and Sprints preferable.
• Ability to interact with Business Team and understand requirements.
