VueOps is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer – Full Stack with strong Ruby on Rails and frontend expertise to help build scalable SaaS products for construction tech.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into robust solutions across backend, frontend, and data layers. You will design RESTful APIs, implement microservices, deploy cloud-native apps on AWS, and work with Docker, CI/CD, and modern frontend frameworks.

Competenze

• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
• OOP, design patterns, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, microservices.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Experience building and deploying containerized apps with Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong debugging and collaborative skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Sr.Software Engineer – Full Stack with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails andmodern frontend technologies to join our engineering team. This is an excitingopportunity to work directly with a Silicon Valley product startup buildingscalable SaaS products for the construction technology domain.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with ProductManagers and business stakeholders to understand product requirements andtranslate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and develop full-stackapplications across frontend, backend, and database layers
• Build scalable and maintainablebackend services using Ruby on Rails
• Develop modern, responsive, andhigh-performance frontend applications using React, Angular, or similarfrontend frameworks
• Design and implement RESTfulAPIs and integrations with internal and external systems
• Design and develop scalablemicroservices-based applications and distributed systems
• Build and maintain cloud-nativeapplications using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway,CloudWatch, and RDS
• Develop and deploycontainerized applications using Docker and Amazon ECS
• Design event-driven andserverless architectures using AWS Lambda and messaging systems
• Contribute to systemarchitecture, scalability, performance optimization, security, and engineeringbest practices
• Develop backend services andutilities using Golang and NodeJS, where applicable
• Utilize AI-assisted and agenticcoding tools to improve engineering efficiency, code quality, and developerproductivity
• Participate in code reviews,technical discussions, and architecture decisions
• Work with CI/CD pipelines andcloud infrastructure to support reliable deployments
• Mentor junior engineers andpromote engineering best practices across the team

• Strong hands-on experience withRuby on Rails
• Strong understanding ofObject-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, RESTful APIs, DistributedSystems, and Microservices Architecture
• Experience with SQL and NoSQLdatabases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Experience building anddeploying containerized applications using Docker
• Experience with CI/CD toolssuch as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI
• Experience using AI-powereddeveloper tools and Agentic Coding workflows

Education
