Job summary

Amazon India seeks a Sr. SDM for the P3P Financial Stack to lead a transition from manual to AI-driven autonomous finance. You will own the technology strategy, guide a large engineering team, and shape the global reference architecture for marketplace finance.

You will translate evolving GST/e-invoicing rules into scalable technical plans, drive touchless payment systems and intelligent reconciliation, while mentoring engineers and building a high-performing team culture.

Lead the transformation of Amazon Indias largest financial platform from manual operations to AI-driven autonomous finance, architecting systems where every rupee reconciles at zero-error tolerance across billions in transaction flows. This is a rare opportunity to lead a category-defining financial platform from first principles, influence WW architecture across multiple Amazon organizations, and shape the future of marketplace finance at scale.

Key job responsibilities

As the Sr. SDM for P3P Financial Stack, you will own the technology strategy, execution, and people leadership for this platform at a pivotal moment in its evolution, from high-touch manual operations to AI-driven autonomous finance. You will lead a large engineering team across multiple verticals, driving the technical roadmap for touchless payment systems, agentic financial operations (AI agents that autonomously detect defects, identify root causes, and execute resolutions), intelligent reconciliation, and ERP-agnostic architecture that decouples sellers from 3rd party software dependencies. You will be the single technical voice representing Indias financial platform in global forums influencing WW partner roadmaps to adopt India-originated innovations, and partnering with multiple WW organizations to ensure P3P evolves from a local platform into a globally adopted reference architecture. You will translate continuously evolving regulations (GST 2.0, e-invoicing) into executable technical strategies, architect for config-driven zero-code market onboarding, and position P3P as an early adopter of AI-to-AI commerce where vendor and seller AI systems interact programmatically with P3Ps payment and reconciliation APIs. Equally, you will raise the engineering bar, mentor the next generation of senior engineers, and build a high-performing team culture that attracts top talent to one of the most complex and consequential financial engineering challenges at Amazon.

About the team

Amazon Indias Seller Partner Services (SPS) Tech builds the technology backbone that enables multi-billion-dollar GMS across Amazon.ind marketplace. Within IN SPS Tech, the P3P Financial Stack technologies enables P3P sellers to operate within a pure marketplace architecture. P3P Tech makes retail-grade financial tools available to a class of sellers and vendors via a financial platform built entirely from the ground up owning the complete financial lifecycle from Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to Tax Compliance, Vendor Payments, General Ledger Accounting, and Reconciliation across thousands of vendors and millions of ASINs. This platforms capabilities match or exceed those of multiple specialized WW organizations. P3P is not a regional adaptation of a global system; it is a first-principles financial platform that is becoming a reference architecture for how Amazon operates marketplaces worldwide.
