• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

What You'll Do

Amazon Software Development Engineers recognize and adopt best practices in software engineering: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations. They solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context. They build flexible systems without over-engineering and choose simple, straightforward solutions over more complex ones. They understand how operating systems work, perform, and scale.

Our team is part of Amazon's Finance Automation organization. We build intelligent platforms that enable automated workflows across financial operations, helping Amazon scale efficiently. We work on challenging problems at the intersection of machine learning, natural language understanding, and large-scale distributed systems. Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
