Overview

Senior Software Data Engineer role at Addepar. The role sits on the Data Integrations Team, a component of the Addepar Platform that provides a single source of truth for product data, including APIs, data services, pipelines, analytics, warehousing and operating tools.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with product counterparts in an agile environment to drive business outcomes.
• Contribute to complex engineering projects using a modern technology stack (e.g., PySpark, Python, AWS, Terraform, Java, Kubernetes and more).

Responsibilities

• Partner with multi-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions that meet business requirements.
• Build pipelines that support ingestion, analysis, and enrichment of financial data by collaborating with business data analysts.
• Advocate for standard methodologies and seek opportunities for automation and optimization to increase data throughput and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain process controls and metrics to improve data quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional software data engineering experience.
• A computer science degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with at least one object-oriented programming language (Python or Java).
• Proficiency with PySpark, relational databases, SQL and data pipelines.
• Rapid learner with strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of financial concepts is helpful but not required.
• Experience in data modeling and visualization is a plus.
• Interest in FinTech and solving investment management challenges is a plus.
• Experience with any public cloud (AWS preferred) is highly desired.
• Experience with data-lake or data platforms like Databricks is highly preferred.

Location & Schedule

Important Note: This role requires working from our Pune office 3 days a week (hybrid work model).
