HERE Technologies in Mumbai is seeking a Sr R&D Test Engineer II to validate HD Map and Base Map solutions, analyze geospatial datasets, and support both manual and automated testing initiatives. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and QA to define scenarios, develop test plans, and drive product quality.

The role emphasizes data-driven testing, QA process improvement, and supporting scalable testing for geospatial technologies within a global team.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of Python for scripting, coding logic, test development, or automation support.
• Experience with manual testing methodologies and exposure to test automation concepts.
• Experience with SQL, query writing and data validation techniques.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile development practices, and quality engineering principles.
• Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills within global and cross-functional teams.
• Interest in geospatial technologies, HD Maps, GIS concepts, or related location-based systems.

Responsabilidades

• Execute functional, regression, and product-level validation activities for HERE's HD Map and Base Map solutions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to understand requirements, define test scenarios, and validate product quality.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test datasets that support comprehensive product validation.
• Support manual testing activities and contribute to the continuous adoption of test automation capabilities.
• Investigate, document, and track defects using quality management and issue-tracking tools.
• Validate geospatial data pipelines and datasets, including data ingestion, transformation, and output verification activities.
• Analyze test results, identify inconsistencies, recommend improvements, and help strengthen testing processes and quality practices.

As a Sr R&D Test Engineer II, you will contribute to the validation and quality assurance of HERE's HD Map and related geospatial solutions. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to execute test strategies, analyze geospatial datasets, and support both manual and automated testing initiatives.
