Job summary

Blue Yonder is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering lead in Pune to define and drive the end-to-end QA strategy for customer implementations and product development. You will collaborate with Solution Architects and Product teams to identify risks, testing scope, and validation strategies, ensuring testability and release quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering, with experience leading enterprise-scale QA initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, SDLC, Agile methodologies, and Quality Engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive end-to-end Quality Engineering strategy across customer implementations and product development.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Product teams during discovery to identify quality risks, testing scope, and validation strategies.
• Review requirements to ensure completeness and testability; ensure alignment with quality objectives.
• Review designs and provide recommendations to improve testability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Lead test planning, estimation, execution, and quality governance for complex enterprise initiatives.
• Design strategies for integration testing across API, and SFTP-based integrations.
• Define test data management and environment strategies for cloud-native and multi-tenant apps.
• Lead performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience testing; identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.
• Define quality metrics, dashboards, release readiness criteria, and defect analytics.
• Mentor QA engineers on modern testing methodologies and AI-assisted testing concepts.
• Collaborate with Product Development, TechOps, and Production Support to troubleshoot production issues and implement preventive improvements.

Scope

Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Product Management, Product Development, TechOps, and Production Support to define and implement the overall Quality Engineering strategy across all phases of the software development lifecycle. Lead quality assurance initiatives for customer implementations, ensuring scalable test architecture, automation, performance, and release quality. Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to establish quality standards, mitigate risks, and ensure successful project delivery aligned with business objectives. Our current technical environment: Software: Java, SpringBoot, Oracle, My SQL, , GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, Secure Multi-Tenant Architecture. What you’ll do

Review business and functional requirements to ensure completeness, testability, and alignment with quality objectives. Review solution designs and provide recommendations to improve testability, reliability, security, and maintainability. Lead test planning, estimation, execution, and quality governance for complex enterprise implementations. Design strategies for integration testing across API, and SFTP-based integrations. Define test data management and environment strategies for cloud-native and multi-tenant applications. Lead performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience testing, identifying bottlenecks and recommending architectural improvements. Define quality metrics, dashboards, release readiness criteria, and defect analytics to support informed release decisions. Mentor QA engineers on , quality engineering practices, and modern testing methodologies. Collaborate with Product Development, TechOps, and Production Support to troubleshoot production issues and implement preventive quality improvements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by adopting AI-assisted testing, intelligent test selection, and automation optimization.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Quality Engineering, with experience leading enterprise-scale QA initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, SDLC, Agile methodologies, and Quality Engineering principles.
• Hands-on expertise in designing automation frameworks using Java and modern testing tools.
• Strong experience testing enterprise applications built on Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, SQL, and React JS.
• Expertise in API testing (REST, SOAP), database testing, integration testing, and end-to-end system validation.
• Experience with relational databases (preferably Oracle), including SQL query optimization, stored procedures, triggers, and database validation.
• Experience testing enterprise integrations involving JMS, Kafka, EDI, AS2, SFTP, and messaging systems.
• Strong experience implementing CI/CD quality pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, GitHub Actions, and related DevOps tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with containerized environments including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of performance testing, scalability testing, reliability engineering, and production monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical and business teams.
• Experience defining QA governance, quality metrics, release readiness, and risk management processes.
• Functional knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation Management, Order Management, or Enterprise SaaS platforms is highly desirable.
• Experience with AI-driven testing, test optimization, or intelligent automation is a plus.
• Experience working with enterprise software vendors or customer implementation projects is preferred.
