Job summary

bolttech is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to design, implement, and execute test strategies for analytics and SaaS applications. You will validate data accuracy, transformations, and reporting outputs, and perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.

You will ensure data pipelines, dashboards, and reports are reliable, collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product teams, and mentor junior QA members while promoting best practices in quality engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience in analytics/insurance domain.
• Strong SQL and data validation skills.
• Experience with GenAI for test design and automation.
• Hands-on with API testing tools.
• Ability to work independently and own end-to-end deliverables.
• Experience testing DWH, data models, dashboards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with ETL specs and source-to-target mappings.

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for analytics and SaaS applications.
• Validate data accuracy, transformations, and reporting outputs.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
• Ensure integrity and consistency of data pipelines, dashboards, and reports.
• Validate analytics outputs and insights embedded within the platform.
• Work with business analysts, developers, and product teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and provide quality insights throughout the SDLC.
• Identify opportunities to automate test cases and improve testing efficiency.
• Enhance QA processes, frameworks, and tools to improve overall product quality.
• Identify, log, track, and manage defects through resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure continuous improvement.
• Guide and mentor junior QA team members.
• Promote best practices in quality engineering and testing standards.

Requirements

• Must have good domain knowledge in P& C Insurance (preferably in the US market).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience using GenAI tools (Copilot/ChatGPT/Claude) to create test cases, automate them, and summarize the test execution results.
• Should have proficiency in writing SQL queries and pulling ad hoc data.
• Ability to validate and refine GenAI-generated SQL, insights, and narratives, ensuring accuracy and alignment with source data.
• Awareness of responsible AI usage, including data privacy, hallucination checks, and governed use of enterprise LLMs.
• Should be able to handle multiple time-sensitive bug/enhancement requests.
• Should have experience in testing DWH data models, data marts, and dashboards.
• Should have experience in understanding source-to-target mapping (ETL specs) and report specifications.
• Work with business analysts, developers, and product teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Should be able to support user acceptance testing and production bugs.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST, etc. ).
• Should be able to work independently and take ownership of end-to-end deliverables.
• Should have 5 years+ relevant experience.
