Sr PYTHON DEVELOPER

We are looking for a Python Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in a sprint-based agile development environment, participating in full cycle activities including release/sprint planning, feature design, story definition, daily stand-ups, development, testing, code review, and release packaging. You will also work on automated build, test, and package environments.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in a fast-growing start-up building products and services for positive social impact.
• Architect secure, reliable back-end systems for web, mobile, and tablet platforms from the ground up.
• Write, test, and deploy production-ready code.

Qualifications:

• 8-11 years of experience in building web-scale, highly available backends for web and/or mobile applications.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong expertise with Python and Django framework; experience with Django extensions is a plus.
• Proficiency in data model design and data manipulation in MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in data-driven environments.
• Comfortable deploying and maintaining services in Linux (Ubuntu) environments.
• Knowledge of non-relational databases like Redis, HBase, Bigtable, Dynamo is a plus.
• Experience with Elasticsearch and Celery is advantageous.
• Database design and optimization skills.
• Experience with Version Control System GIT.
• Experience in developing API services and customizing admin dashboards in Python.
• Knowledge of Docker is beneficial.
