Siemens Healthineers seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager / Release Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of monthly software releases for a cloud-based oncology SaaS platform deployed on AWS. The role ensures predictable delivery, high quality, compliance, reliability, and patient safety while guiding a team of software and test engineers in an agile/scrum setting.

Qualifications

• BE/MSc/MCA or related degree.
• 5–8 years of experience in technical program management or release leadership.
• Experience delivering software releases in Agile environments.
• Experience with cloud-based SaaS delivery and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage cross-functional initiatives involving Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, Security, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations teams.
• Facilitate release planning, establish release calendars, manage cross-team dependencies, and remove blockers to improve delivery predictability.
• Ensure release quality gates are met, validation activities are completed, and audit readiness and regulatory compliance documentation are in place.
• Coordinate production deployments with DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure teams, oversee post-deployment verification, and plan rollbacks when needed.
• Provide regular status updates to engineering leadership and business stakeholders.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager / Release Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of monthly software releases for a cloud-based oncology SaaS platform deployed on AWS. The platform is used by both patients and clinicians and operates in a regulated medical device environment.

The role is responsible for ensuring predictable delivery of product initiatives and successful production releases while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, reliability, and patient safety.

The product is Siemens Healthineers' cloud-based software solution for patient relationships and care navigation management. It is designed to connect cancer patients with their clinics online throughout the entire cancer journey. The product is used by 35,000+ active cancer patients and healthcare professionals from leading oncology centers in North America and Europe. The candidate in this role will provide strong product development leadership to a team of software engineers and test engineers, working in an agile/scrum environment.

Job Description

Position Duties

• Program Project Management: Plan and manage cross-functional initiatives involving Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, Security, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations teams. Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues, and provide clear status reporting to stakeholders.
• Agile Delivery Leadership: Support Agile/Scrum processes across teams, facilitate release planning, establish release calendars, manage cross-team dependencies, manage project release risks and help remove blockers to improve delivery predictability.
• Quality Compliance Coordination: Ensure release quality gates are met, validation activities are completed, and required documentation is in place for audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Partner closely with QA and Engineering teams. Monitor release metrics and quality KPIs.
• Production Deployment Coordination: Coordinate production deployments with DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure teams, ensure deployment procedures are followed, oversee post-deployment verification, and manage rollback planning when needed.
• Provide regular status updates to engineering leadership and business stakeholders.

Qualifications Required

BE, MSc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.

Number of years related experience: 5-8 years.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, release management, or software delivery leadership.
• Experience managing software releases in Agile development environments.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional software delivery programs.
• Experience supporting cloud-based SaaS products.
• Strong understanding of SaaS software development and testing, AWS/Azure Cloud environment, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing healthcare products conforming quality system regulations.
• Familiarity with standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe RTE, or similar certifications.
