Job summary

Control Component India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer who will be the main liaison for customers and factories, coordinating AFM orders across multiple sites to meet scope, cost, quality and schedule.

You will manage order status, expedite requests, and cross‑functional teams, monitor milestones, identify delays, and keep customers updated with structured reports. The role requires a mechanical engineering background, 4–5 years in valve or process control, proficiency with MS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) and knowledge in Project Management.
  • 4 to 5 years’ work experience in the valve and/or process control industry, or related engineering/manufacturing.
  • Experience managing a multi-disciplinary project team: engineering, quality control, procurement, manufacturing, cost estimating, delivery/billing, and contract management.
  • Proficient in business and project management software (MS Office, MS Project).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall progress of AFM orders, ensuring visibility on status, priorities, and critical issues.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding order updates, delivery status, and expediting requests.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment between customer requirements and internal execution.
  • Monitor milestones and identify delays, risks, or constraints affecting order execution.
  • Support prioritization and escalation to improve responsiveness and customer satisfaction in Aftermarket.
  • Provide regular updates to customers and coordinate recovery actions internally.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and internal departments for timely information exchange.
  • Inspect and report order status, risks, and criticalities to management channels for decision-making.

Job description

Position Summary: The Senior Project Engineer will be the primary point of contact for the customer and factory for all their purchase order related status. The Senior Project Engineer will accomplish the customer purchase order requirements by coordinating with multiple IMI factories across the globe, and processing and shipping the order to meet the project scope, cost, quality and timeline.

Key responsibilities of this position include (other responsibilities may be assigned):

  • Manage the overall progress of all AFM orders, ensuring visibility on status, priorities, and critical issues.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding order updates, delivery status, and expediting requests.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment between customer requirements and internal execution.
  • Monitor key process milestones and proactively identify delays, risks, or constraints affecting order execution.
  • Support prioritization and escalation processes to improve responsiveness and customer satisfaction in the Aftermarket business.
  • Provide regular and structured updates to customers, managing requests for delivery anticipation and coordinating feasible recovery actions internally
  • Facilitate communication between external customers and internal departments, ensuring timely information exchange and alignment on priorities
  • Monitor process milestones, identify deviations from expected timing, and trigger appropriate follow-up or escalation actions.
  • Report order status, risks, and criticalities to the appropriate management channels, supporting decision-making and operational prioritization
  • Ensure the overall project is executed as per the customer PO and IMI guidelines: order receipt through warranty; contract performance, technical compliance, customer satisfaction; schedule, documentation requirements, and holding project team accountable for project performance.
  • Coordinate project team involvement and participation at customer’s pre-award meetings, kick-off meetings, lessons-learned meetings, progress meetings and factory inspections.
  • Review vendor / inter-company bids for engineered / buyout products against scope, quality, performance, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Prepare and compile project documentation as per customer PO by coordinating with internal teams for the supporting documents and as per customer document list.
  • Coordinate third party and regulatory inspections of finished, or in-process goods for inspection purposes.

Required Skills:

  • Valve industry experience and knowledge including familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas CRM tools preferably Salesforce / IFS / leading ERP.
  • Knowledge of international shipping, customs and tariff protocols.
  • Good skills in multi-tasking various large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible in working in multiple time zones as per project requirements.
  • Good knowledge of English (written and spoken)
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Strong attention to deadlines
  • Attitude of cooperation and teamwork

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical), and good knowledge in Project Management.
  • 4 to 5 years’ work experience in the valve and / or process control industry, or in a related engineering and manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in managing a multi-disciplined project team: engineering, quality control, procurement, manufacturing, cost estimating, delivery / billing, and contract management.
  • Proficient in business and project management software (MS Office, MS Project).

Communication Skills:

  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
  • Good email and telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management and customers.
