Qualifications

  • BE / B. Tech degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • BE/ B. Tech degree in Mechanical engineering + two years experience or PG in Design of Machines/ Engineering Design with knowledge in embedded systems and medical devices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project support specifically focused on engineering operations within the research projects.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Collaborate with the scientific team to troubleshoot and resolve project-related challenges.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Coordinate communication between PIs, schedule meetings, distribute reports and keep supervisor or Principal Investigator (PI) informed of the design and development.
  • Assist in clinical data collection and management related to the MedTech project.
  • Support any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or Principal Investigator (PI) related to the project
  • Willing to travel if needed.

The Division of Nutrition is actively involved in addressing practical and unmet needs encountered at the bedside and in healthcare settings through research, innovation, and the development of medical and para-medical devices. The Division adopts a multidisciplinary and translational approach, bringing together clinical expertise, engineering principles, and scientific research to develop innovative, affordable, and user-oriented solutions for healthcare delivery. The MedTech developments undertaken by the Division continue to support hospital requirements while contributing to the broader goal of strengthening indigenous medical device development and healthcare innovation.
