Job summary

Nextpower Inc. is seeking a Sr. Product Applications Engineer-DFM & DFA Support in Hyderabad, India. The role focuses on engineering drawing verification, DFM/DFA reviews, and ensuring products are manufacturable and easy to assemble.

The successful candidate will work with design, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and field teams to support product testing, validation, and production-readiness activities. 4–6 years experience in related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, production, industrial, or related engineering field.
• 4–6 years of experience in product applications, mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, product validation, or production support.

Responsibilities

• Review production drawings, CAD models, specifications, and BOMs for accuracy.
• Perform DFM and DFA reviews to identify manufacturing and assembly risks.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, fasteners, interfaces, weld details, and assembly requirements.
• Recommend design improvements to reduce manufacturing complexity, time, cost, rework, and quality issues.
• Plan and support testing, prototype evaluation, and field validation.
• Investigate issues and lead/c support root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to design, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and project teams.
