Sandoz India is seeking a Senior Procurement Leader to plan and drive strategic sourcing for the FDF External Supply APMA category. You will lead vendor selection, development, and performance measurement across markets, delivering year-on-year productivity improvements while aligning with business objectives and regulatory standards.

The role requires 10+ years in procurement with a track record in cost saving, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• University/Advanced degree required; Master’s preferred, with 10+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management or supply chain.
• Experience handling annual spend of USD 25M-100M+ across multiple suppliers and markets.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings, value creation and supplier performance improvements.

• Map the value chain, analyze it and derive scenarios, applying total cost of ownership and should-cost modelling.
• Participate in budgeting discussions and apply financial knowledge including tax aspects in sourcing strategies and structuring deals.
• Support compliance and risk management by monitoring end-to-end processes and taking corrective actions.
• Lead procurement data analysis and reporting, spend and demand insights, supplier market intelligence.
• Foster supplier relationships, negotiate and implement Source to Contract processes and digital tools.

Responsible for planning and leading all strategic aspects within the FDF category- External Supply APMA and developing proposals for strategic business decisions.

The role provides high value procurement solutions to the business and category strategies; support third party vendor selection, vendor development, technology management and performance measurement activities. The role ensures bestinclass delivery of external services and products in the FDF category- External Supply APMA to support projects and to realize yearonyear productivity improvements, cost savings, and process improvements in close collaboration with the stakeholders in the business. Working in accordance with legislation, internal rules, good practices and business objectives. Management and development of associates.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Implement category strategic goals from overall Procurement strategy / Ecosystem management: Planning, organizing, and managing projects considering priorities, resources, budgets, issues and constraints to achieve desired results; defining clear project scope and objectives; utilizing software and tools to plan, track and report status.
• Mapping the value chain, analyzing it and deriving potential scenarios. Includes the understanding and application of total cost of ownership and should cost modelling.
• Participating in and / or leading financial discussions. Applying financial knowledge to participate actively, e.g., in budgeting process, including tax aspects in sourcing strategies and structuring sophisticated deals with ecosystem partners.
• Compliance & risk management: supporting reports to determine appropriate compliance level. Monitoring endtoend compliance (budget, payment, vendor PO, contract invoice, buying channel, etc.) and deriving corrective actions to improve compliance.
• Projecting the dynamics and impacts (e.g. mergers and acquisitions). Extracting, cleansing and consolidating information to factbased insights for further usage e.g. in category strategies.
• Maintaining and updating Procurement applications accordingly to the Procurement content (e.g. ecatalogs, user portal). Continuous improvement of procurement content and automation.
• Support definition and implementation of Procurement tools and processes. Managing data analysis and reporting, e.g. analyzing spend, demand, supply markets and competitors.
• Responsible to ensure the right balance between business needs and Sandoz strategy. Accountable to work with stakeholders to identify the most cost-effective ways to deliver business objectives.
• Sourcing and supplier relationships management: Provision of strategies, approaches, and methods to allow for execution of the Source to Contract process:
• Preparing and conducting fact-based negotiations. Providing a broad portfolio of negotiation strategies to achieve results that support business and Procurement objectives:
• Proactive assessment of new ways of working, involving innovative scientific & technical solutions by identifying and onboarding the right suppliers.
• Achieving results by proactively building longterm, sustainable and effective relationships, understanding the stakeholder landscape and demonstrating political astuteness across business structures and networks.
• Providing conditions for and control of the implementation of HSE tasks and requirements in the unit.
• Other tasks determined during the annual objectives setting process and by KPIs.
• Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor and tasks based on a specific appointment.

Essential Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• University/Advanced degree is required. Master’s Degree/other advanced degree is preferred, with min 10+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain experience.
• Experience handling annual spend of USD 25M-100M+ across multiple suppliers and markets.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings, value creation, and supplier performance improvements.
