Job summary

Jabil in Delhi is seeking a Sr. Strategic Buyer to lead sourcing across materials, equipment, and services for key projects. You will align procurement with milestones, budgets, and technical specs while driving competitive pricing and contract terms.

Responsibilities include leading RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, using Coupa, SAP, and Ariba, and delivering data-driven insights with MS Office and Power BI. Strong negotiation, governance, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Master's degree in supply chain or business adds value.
  • Specialization in procurement or supply chain preferred.
  • 2–4 years of procurement experience in direct/indirect categories.
  • MS Office proficiency with Excel (pivot, VLOOKUP, dashboards).
  • Experience with SAP MM or Ariba is a plus.
  • Familiarity with e-sourcing tools like Coupa/Jaggaer/Ariba.

The Sr. Strategic Buyer plays a critical role in sourcing materials, equipment, and services across designated regions. This position supports strategic initiatives tied to site development and infrastructure expansion, ensuring timely procurement aligned with project timelines, budget constraints, and technical specifications

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Align procurement plans with project milestones, budgets, and technical requirements.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required): A foundational requirement, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree (Preferred): An advanced degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or Business adds strategic depth and leadership potential.
  • Specialization in Supply Chain (Preferred): Demonstrates focused expertise in procurement processes, logistics, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.
  • 2-4 Years in Procurement: Hands-on experience in purchasing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization. Exposure to both direct and indirect procurement is valuable.
  • Combination of Education and Experience: Candidates with strong practical experience may offset formal education requirements, especially if they've held roles with increasing responsibility.
  • MS Office Suite (Required): Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards), Word, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and presentations.
  • SAP (Good to Have): Familiarity with SAP ERP modules like MM (Materials Management) or Ariba for managing procurement workflows, purchase orders, and vendor databases.
  • Power BI (Good to Have): Ability to create interactive dashboards and analyze procurement data to support decision-making and performance tracking.
  • Sourcing Tools (e.g., Coupa, Jaggaer, Ariba): Experience with e-sourcing platforms for RFQs, supplier onboarding, contract lifecycle management, and spend analysis.
  • Skilled in analyzing and interpreting detailed technical specifications, engineering drawings, and project documentation. Collaborates effectively with engineering teams to define and validate equipment requirements, ensuring alignment with project scope and performance standards.
  • Proven track record in executing end-to-end competitive sourcing processes, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. Adept at leading supplier negotiations, evaluating proposals, and securing optimal commercial and contractual terms that support project objectives and cost-efficiency.
