Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Principal Modeler- Mechanical(Water/Wastewater) based in Mumbai, India. You will lead BIM modelling activities, develop 3D models from project specs, and support design teams with Revit content and templates.

You will mentor Revit teams, standardize workflows, and maintain BIM standards across offices. Hybrid work arrangement and Day 1 onboarding are part of the employment terms.

Qualifications

• Diploma (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
• 12-18 years of experience in wastewater/water industry.
• Drafting course from a recognized institute.
• Working experience using REVIT, AutoCAD and Microstation.
• Professional registration in home office country or pursuing such registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide BIM training and technical support on the BIM system and 3D models.
• Direct project support and produce drawings using standards and content.
• Offer ongoing BIM application support and collaborate with Design teams.
• Guide the transition from traditional BIM practices to integrated design.
• Educate leadership and operations on BIM tools for project deliverables.
• Generate BIM documents for construction/bidding and participate in clash detection.
• Mentor local Revit leadership and standardize Revit workflows and best practices.

AECOM is seeking a Sr. Principal Modeler- Mechanical(Water/Wastewater) to be based inMumbai, India. Candidates will be responsible for the following activities:

• Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
• Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.).
• Provide ongoing support for all BIM applications and work closely with Design.
• Technology Manager to guide the transition from traditional BIM practices and deliverables into a more integrated design.
• To educate office leadership and operations in the use of BIM tools on projects and to assist teams at the onset of their project to manage expectations for deliverables and digital project plan to meet project goals.
• Generating BIM documents to submit for construction/bidding purposes and Participating in Mechanical Coordination phases of projects when Revit models are required for clash detection.
• Mentoring local Revit leadership, developing project-specific implementation strategies and collaborating with project teams to ensure BIM success by Standardizing and document Revit workflows & best practices.
• Maintain BIM standards and design templates to ensure quality and consistency of design environment and deliverables throughout various offices worldwide.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute or university.
• 12 - 18Years of experience in wastewater/water industry.
• Drafting course from a recognized institute.
• Working experience using REVIT, Autocad and Microstation
• Professional registration in their designated home office country or be in active pursuit of such registration.
