Job Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and results-driven OPT Sourcing Recruiter with experience in U.S. IT staffing and sourcing candidates on OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, H4 EAD, and other work-authorized statuses.
The recruiter will be responsible for identifying qualified IT professionals, building a strong candidate pipeline, and coordinating with the marketing/sales team for project opportunities.
Role & responsibilities:
- Source qualified IT candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, resume databases, social media, and internal candidate databases.
- Identify candidates with OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, H4 EAD, and other eligible U.S. work authorizations.
- Understand candidate resumes, technical skills, experience, location, availability, and project preferences.
- Conduct initial screening calls to understand candidate background, communication skills, technical experience, and career goals.
- Maintain and continuously update the OPT/STEM OPT candidate database.
- Match candidates with suitable client requirements based on skills, experience, location, work authorization, and availability.
- Coordinate with sales/marketing teams to submit qualified candidates to relevant requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Follow up with candidates regarding submissions, interviews, feedback, offers, and onboarding.
- Build long-term relationships with candidates and maintain an active candidate pipeline.
- Verify candidate information and ensure resumes are updated and aligned with job requirements.
- Track daily sourcing activities, calls, submissions, interviews, and closures.
- Meet daily and weekly sourcing targets.
- Stay updated on U.S. IT staffing trends, technologies, job markets, and work-authorization terminology.
- Maintain accurate records in ATS, CRM, Excel, or internal recruitment systems.
- Work closely with senior recruiters and team leads to improve sourcing strategies and conversion rates.
Required Skills:
- 13 years of experience in U.S. IT recruitment / staffing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, H4 EAD, and H1B terminology.
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn and resume databases.
- Good understanding of IT technologies and job requirements.
- Excellent communication and candidate-handling skills.
- Strong follow-up, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work with targets and meet daily/weekly sourcing goals.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Preferred Candidate:
Candidates with experience sourcing OPT/STEM OPT consultants and recent U.S. graduates in technologies such as Java, .NET, QA, Data Engineering, DevOps, Cloud, Business Analysis, and other IT domains will be preferred.
