Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering in ECE, CSE, EEE, IT, or Master of Computer Applications
  • Strong hands-on experience in advanced C or C++ programming
  • Experience with embedded systems development
  • Knowledge of low-level interfaces including I2C/SMBus, USB, PCIe, GPIO, SPI, UART, eSPI, and JTAG
  • Familiarity with IPMI, D-Bus, DMTF standards such as Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, and SPDM, and Open Compute Project specifications
  • Experience with ARM-based BMC SoCs such as ASPEED AST2600 or Nuvoton Arbel, and x86/ARM server architectures
  • Strong knowledge of Linux internals, including system calls, IPC, socket programming, and POSIX multithreading
  • Hands-on experience with systemd, D-Bus, Yocto/BitBake, and Makefiles
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Job Description: Sr Member Technical Staff I - ADVANCED LINUX C++ DEVELOPMENT

THE ROLE

We are looking for an Advanced Linux C++ / BMC engineer with strong low-level programming and platform-management expertise. This role combines advanced C or C++ development with embedded Linux, BMC architecture, server-management standards, hardware interfaces, and system-level debugging. You will develop and integrate BMC software for ARM-based SoCs and x86/ARM server platforms, working across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries. The role requires strong ownership, technical depth, and the ability to diagnose complex platform issues.


WHAT YOU'LL DO


  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded BMC firmware using advanced C and C++ programming

  • Integrate and debug low-level interfaces including I2C/SMBus, USB, PCIe, GPIO, SPI, UART, eSPI, and JTAG

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience with OpenBMC development and architecture

  • Python or Bash scripting experience

  • Experience with embedded Linux startup, bootloaders such as U-Boot, device tree, drivers, and BSP bring-up on BMC SoCs

  • Hands-on experience with GDB and platform debugging tools

  • Experience using Git for version control and Jira for issue tracking
