Job summary

Shapoorji Pallonji Group seeks a Landscape Architect to lead the development of project landscapes and gardens in line with design guidelines. You will manage from conception through maintenance and ensure timely handover of completed landscapes.

You will coordinate with architects, civil and construction teams, planning and procurement, and government nodal agencies, overseeing drawings, material approvals, and site progress. Training and plant-bank development are also part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Develop project landscape and gardens in accordance with project design guidelines.
• Manage landscape development from conception to maintenance.
• Coordinate with architects, civil and construction departments, planning and contract departments, procurement, Govt. and nodal agencies.
• Coordinate with Head of Design for conceptual approval, design development, detailing, materials approval, and timely updates.
• Coordinate all drawings from conception to execution with external architects.
• Plan garden drainage, irrigation, electrification, flora and fauna planting plan.
• Obtain necessary approvals and release for execution.
• Monitor site progress and strive for timely, quality completion of landscape.
• Procure healthy plants at competitive prices.
• Develop company tree and plant bank for self-sufficiency.
• Ensure timely planting and handover of landscape as per design.
• Ensure plants are cared for and not damaged during construction.
• Prepare bill of quantities and forward to costing and planning departments.
• Obtain rates from vendors/suppliers/contractors for landscape work.
• Coordinate indents after material specs approval from Head of Planning & Design/authorized person.
• Select and update quality vendors and suppliers in horticulture.
• Train and motivate the team for cost-effective, timely, and high-quality execution of the project.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

• To develop project landscape and gardens in accordance to the project design guidelines.
• Responsible for landscape development from the stage of conception to maintenance.
• To be responsible for coordination with all concerned persons and Groups viz. architects, civil and construction dept., planning and contract dept. Purchase, Govt. and nodal agencies,
• To coordinate with Head of Design for obtaining a conceptual approval, design development, detailing, approval of materials, timely updating the project process.
• Coordinating for all concerned drawings from conception to execution with external Architects.
• Working out the details of garden drainage, irrigation details, electrification, flora and fauna planting plan.
• Taking the necessary approvals and releasing the same for further execution.
• Monitoring the progress of the sites. Striving for the timely and quality completion of landscape.
• Procurement of healthy plants at competitive prices
• Development of the company's own tree and plant bank so that the company can be self-sufficient.
• Ensuring that the landscape get planted timely and is ready as per design at the handover time of the project.
• Ensure that the plants planted are taken care of and not spoilt during the construction activity.
• Preparing the bill of quantities, forwarding the same to costing and planning dept.
• Taking the rates from listed vendors/suppliers/contractors for landscape job.
• Coordinating for indents after the approval of material specs from Head of Planning & Design/ authorized person.
• Selecting and updating quality vendors and suppliers in the horticulture field.
• Training and motivating the team for cost effective, timely and high quality execution of the project.
