Job summary

Cohere Health is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to support the Service Operations Training & Quality team in Hyderabad, focusing on onboarding, ongoing staff development, and quality assurance in payer review workflows.

You will design materials, deliver trainings, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with Operations, Product, Clinical, and Client Services to ensure performance and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in US Healthcare Payer Processes.
  • Experience in US healthcare operations, medical billing, claims, or prior authorization.
  • Experience in healthcare BPO/KPO, payer/provider operations, or contact center environments.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years developing and delivering training curriculum in a healthcare environment.
  • Understanding of Adult Learning Theory and Training.
  • Ability to lead training sessions virtually.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Data collection, management and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training for New Hire onboarding and continuous improvement of Service Operations staff.
  • Develop and maintain Training materials with onshore teams.
  • Perform Quality Audit checks as required.
  • Coach team members for improvement.
  • Provide reporting on performance and Training outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Lead and facilitate training programs for onboarding and ongoing development.
  • Design and refine training materials, job aids, and workflows for new products and changes.
  • Conduct quality audits across operational workflows to evaluate accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide coaching using audit findings to elevate competency and decision-making.
  • Analyze training and quality data to identify trends and gaps, and summarize insights for leadership.
  • Build and deliver regular reporting on training outcomes, readiness, and audits.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product, Clinical, Client Services to align training with workflows.
  • Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve cost efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement in training processes and regulatory alignment.

Opportunity overview

The Learning & Development Specialist will work in support of the UM Service Operations Team at Cohere Health who conduct reviews and decision Prior Authorization requests for a patient’s medical insurance. You will implement training processes to improve staff performance and onboard new hire employees to the Cohere Operations teams, You will provide support to all functions within the Training & Quality department. With a solid foundation in Training, you are expected to be flexible and nimble in your role to manage short- and long-term projects as well as dealing with day-to-day tasks.

What you’ll do:
  • Facilitate training for the New Hire onboarding and continuous improvement of the Service Operations Staff
  • Work with onshore teams to Develop and maintain Training materials
  • Perform Quality Audit checks as required
  • Coach team members for improvement
  • Provide reporting on performance and key areas of Training Performance to Sr Leadership
  • Lead and facilitate training programs for new-hire onboarding and ongoing development, ensuring Service Operations staff are fully prepared to meet performance, quality, and compliance expectations
  • Design, develop, and continuously refine training materials, job aids, and workflow documentation to support new products, process changes, and organizational initiatives
  • Conduct judgment-based quality audits across operational workflows, applying clinical and operational standards to evaluate accuracy, compliance, and readiness
  • Provide targeted coaching and performance improvement guidance, using audit findings and behavioral insights to elevate competency, accuracy, and decision‑making across teams
  • Analyze training and quality data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities, synthesizing insights into clear recommendations for senior leadership
  • Build and deliver regular reporting on training outcomes, competency progression, audit results, and operational readiness, shaping leadership decisions and resource planning
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (Operations, Product, Clinical, Client Services) to ensure training, quality, and workflow expectations are aligned and fully operationalized
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend automation opportunities within training, auditing, and operational workflows to reduce manual work, increase accuracy, and produce measurable cost and FTE savings
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by re‑engineering training processes, optimizing content delivery, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Exercise independent judgment in prioritizing initiatives, managing multiple projects, and influencing adoption of quality and training best practices across the organization
ISMS roles and responsibilities
  • Good knowledge of Information practices.
  • Assist the manager in all the information security activities implementation and maintenance process.
  • Ensuring the team and imparted with Competence related to Information security
  • Responsible for implementation of security policies and procedures and report any issues to the Information Security Manager.
