Job summary

A leading food safety company in Hyderabad is looking for an experienced laboratory manager responsible for regulatory compliance and quality assurance in the manufacturing process. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant science field and at least 6 years of experience in the food industry, particularly managing laboratory activities. Knowledge of good laboratory practices and analytical testing is essential for this role which plays a critical part in ensuring product quality and safety.

Qualifications

Job description

MALE CANDIDATES PREFERRED

Shall be responsible for ensuring product manufacture is done as per defined PVM and regulatory guidelines by ensuring

1. RM and PM is tested as per desired specifications
2. Ensure analytical lab is managed efficiently

Ensure defined Lab systems and GLP are implemented effectively

Ensure all the Raw Materials and Packaging Materials are received and tested as per specifications

Ensure timely release of RMPM

Ensure effective implementation of RM/PM analytical methods are present in specifications system (PDR)

To support in implementation of SAP based approach in control of RM, Semi Finished Products and FG

Ensure that the laboratory is managed efficiently and all the equipment are timely calibrated and in good state of work

Ensure that updated and standardized work instructions and test methods are available and implemented in the lab.

Ensure compliance related to regulatory needs like testing through external laboratory analysis as per regulations.

To keep checking the analytical capabilities through conduction of proficiency testing.

To participate in global analytical network (GAN) and ensure global protocols of analysis are implemented and facilities are available

To manage the laboratory budgets both CAPEX and OPEX

To ensure the laboratory teams are updated with the right methods and practices.

Essential

• A Bachelor/Master degree Science ( Analytical/ Chemistry) Food Technology/ Science.
• Knowledge on Good Laboratory practices and Lab Management Systems.
• Knowledge of Calibration and validation standards for basic lab equipment.
• Knowledge of analytical testing and aware about basic tests being carried out in RM and PM
• Atleast 6 yrs of work experience in Food Industry and has experience in managing laboratory activities for FMCG sector

Desirable

• Knowledge of ISO 17025
• Experience of handling NABL accredited Lab.
