What you’ll be doing…

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and automated testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• BDD Framework Implementation: Utilize Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber, Behave, or SpecFlow to enhance test automation.
• Quality Assurance Leadership: Provide technical guidance on best practices for testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to verify software and hardware functionality.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide recommendations for product improvements.
• Work closely with development, product management, and QA teams to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues in various environments.
• Continuously explore new testing tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance testing effectiveness.
• Maintain QA on code bases written in python and PHP.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (developers, product managers, UX designers) to understand requirements, define testing scope, and maintain quality standards.
• Identify, document, and track issues through resolution using industry‑standard defect tracking tools.
• Establish test metrics, KPIs, and quality benchmarks, regularly reporting on quality status, trends, and risk to stakeholders.

Qualities you possess…

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in software or hardware testing, quality assurance, or a similar role.
• 8+ years experience in software quality assurance.
• Proficiency in testing tools, scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.), and automation frameworks.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave, SpecFlow, etc.).
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira and Xray for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices testing.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Must have:

• Experience with Behave Driven Development (BDD). Especially with use of Gherkin syntax.
• Ability to create individual test cases and test plans.
• Ability to at least read Python code.
• Experience with VMWare VM management.
• Experience with Linux.
• Strong communication skills.

Good to have:

• Experience with AI assisted testing frameworks/tools (e.g. Tabnine, Codex, Cursor etc.).
• Cucumber experience.
• Use of Jenkins Pipelines.
• Experience with Jira. Xray experience is a huge plus for test case management.
• Pytest experience.
• AWS EC2 management. (This will be a must have for some roles).
