Job summary

A global leader in advanced materials is seeking a Shift Lead for its operations in Tumakuru. The ideal candidate will execute delivery plans, manage shift operations, and maintain quality standards. Applicants should possess a university degree, at least 2 years of experience in the mechanical/service industry, and knowledge of PVD/CVD coating technology. The role entails training team members and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct training and evaluate effectiveness.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety requirements.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Execution of delivery plan – Planning the shift of incoming & outgoing, Allocation of jobs in the respective shift.
• Process card preparation.
• Raising the deviation for the incoming defect parts.
• Defixturing and inspection of the parts to ensure no non-conforming parts reaches customer
• Document and deliver the parts for packing department, Ensure necessary identification is done for different groups ex., Good parts, rejected parts, PRAC , Packing boxes etc.,
• Ensure process are inline with standards (QMS,EMS,Internal operation standards).
• Operation and Preventive maintenance of equipments in Incoming and outgoing (Cleaning equipments , demag)
• Identify training needs of shift team members, plan and conduct trainings, Evaluate the effectiveness of the training. Inform PM on trainings out of his scope.
• Communicate to service and plant manager in case of machine troubles/errors.
• Adhere and ensure everyone in the department follows to all safety requirements.
• Involve, suggest and implement HSE ,5S, OOE & Cost reduction plans.
• Stock management & Co-ordinate for required consumables and spares with plant manager.
• Oversee failures and involve in implementation of preventive actions & corrective actions for internal and external complaints.
• Quarantine non conforming parts in communication with Quality team.
• Factory key user for the SAP

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge

• University degree / Diploma.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as shift lead or engineer in mechanical/service industry.
• Knowledge of PVD/CVD coating technology recommended.
