Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. is seeking an Automotive Engineer to work on diesel engine combustion, emissions, calibration, and vehicle integration. The role focuses on drivability, engine performance, and emission optimization through bench and vehicle tests.

You will analyze test results, develop test cases, and prepare reports, while supporting validation, field issue resolution, and data-driven improvements in a fast-paced automotive development environment.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of relevant automotive engineering experience.
• BE/ME in engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate vehicle drivability and hardware protection under extreme climatic conditions.
• Work on steady state engine performance and emission optimisation.
• Emission development at vehicle level and certification.
• Analyze test results and prepare reports for all calibrations.
• Support validation and field concern resolution.
• Data analysis, preparation of reports and presentation of results.

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

• Vehicle Drivability and Hardware Protection calibration at extreme climatic conditions
• Work on Steady state Engine performance & emission optimisation.
• Works on Emission development at Vehicle level and Certification
• Analysis of Test results and Report preparation for all the Calibrations
• '- Responsible for Software additional requirements and New software functions verifcation
• Support for Validation and Field concern resolution
• Analysis of Fleet data and RWUP Fuel economy tests
• Support for Homologation and Production start

• Diesel Engine Combustion and Emissions
• Excellent Analytical and Problem solving skills
• Usage of Tools : INCA/VISU/MATLAB/Uiniplot/AVL concerto/Power BI / Matlab/ Python
• Good knowledge on Engine combustion, Emissions, Air path & controller calibration
• Good know how on torque structure, vehicle drivability calibration & altitude expedition
• Good knowledge on SCR, DPF & OBD calibrations.
• Ability to frame test cases and analyse / interpretate the results using DOE's.
• Data analysis, preparation of reports and presentation of results
• Flexibility to undertake additional responsibilities to meet business requirements
