Job summary

Afcons Infrastructure Limited is seeking experienced civil engineers for detailed design and design review of water treatment and pumping installations. The role involves coordinating with external consultants, preparing construction sequences, and finalizing schemes for pipelines and associated structures.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• MTech in Structures required/advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring detailed design and drawings/review of WTP, intakes, MS/DI/HDPE pipeline projects.
• Detailed design/review of designs provided by external consultant; develop and carry out construction stage design checks.
• Prepare construction sequence in discussion with Team Leader and Planning Team; finalize schemes and design pumping stations and treatment plant structures.
• Prepare design and issue for construction (GFC); ensure design reviews before construction; discuss queries with Design Manager.
• Develop personal skills, engage with team and pursue career development; set targets and KRAs; expand technical and commercial skills through training and seminars.

Roles and Responsibilities 01

• Ensuring detailed design and drawings / review of WTP, Intakes, MS/DI/HDPE Pipeline projects.

Detailed Design

• Detailed design / review of designs provided by external consultant.
• Developing and carrying out construction stage design checks.
• Preparing the construction sequence to be adopted during construction in discussion with Team leader and Planning Team.
• Finalizing the scheme, designing large pumping station, Treatment plant structures and structures related to pipeline.
• Preparation and review of submittals such as method statements and taking responsibility of all design issues and ensuring successful delivery of design documents.

• a.Preparing design and issuing good for construction (GFC) document.
• b.Ensuring completion of design review prior to the commencement of construction process."

Key Objective of the Job Position

Key Objective of the Job Position

• Developing cost-effective design layouts based on construction requirements and specifications adhering to established design guidelines and procedures.
• Performing civil design analysis and calculations as per project requirements, determining construction cost and material estimates based on civil designs.
• Performing field surveys and investigations to prepare engineering drawings.
• Reviewing Project Plan and determining the design feasibility and constraints, using latest software and technologies to develop effective designs; and managing design projects within allotted timelines and budgets.

• Minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience in planning and design of river/lake intake with intake bridge, Large Pumping stations, Treatment plant structures, Elevated service reservoir, Ground reservoir, Structures related to pipeline
• May need to travel to work sites at domestic or overseas locations. Majorly operating from project site.
