Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a seasoned SoC Validation engineer to own end-to-end validation for ONFI/LPDDR/PCIE, from architecture through post-silicon activities. You will work with Architecture, Design, and FW teams to define tests and validation plans, ensuring thorough coverage and issue resolution.

The role requires 5+ years in processor-based SoC validation, strong debugging skills, and experience with SOC C/FW tests. Knowledge of LPDDR/ONFI/AXI interfaces is advantageous.

• Hands-on validation experience with SOC C/FW tests.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python/Perl/TCL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own SOC validation across architecture, pre- and post-silicon phases.
• Coordinate with Architecture/Design/FW teams to plan validation.
• Review architecture docs and validation plans; contribute to SOC tests.
• Lead silicon bring-up and debug for LPDDR/PCIE/ONFI.
• Produce debug logs, traces, and root-cause summaries.

Job responsibilities At Glance:

• Overall ownership of SOC, with ONFI/LPDDR/PCIE validation in Architecture, Pre-Silicon, Board Design, Post-Silicon activities


• Interact with Architecture/Design/FW teams to identify actual FW implementation and plan/perform validation accordingly


• Review architecture documents and involve in all validation phases


• Review SoC Verification plan for NFC sub system and


• Create/understand ONFI/LPDDR/PCIE Validation plan with SOC C, AE, FW teams and architect/review/update C/FW based tests


• Develop understanding on SoC and perform Processor based SoC verification and Emulation using C/FW/AE Flow


• Should be able to run SOC C based simulations for test case understanding and debug using VCS


• Involve in Silicon Bring-up activity and support FW bring-up


• Post‑Silicon Bring‑Up & Debug for LPDDR, PCIE, ONFI


• Perform silicon bring-up using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers


• Root‑cause issues at PHY level, controller, firmware, and system levels


• Provide debug logs, traces, and root-cause summaries

Job Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in Engineering


• Thorough Knowledge of ONFI/LPDDR/PCIE Standards is must.


• Good understanding on SOC Architecture


• Minimum 5+ years of Processor based SoC, and hands-on validation experience with SOC C/FW tests


• Good To Have - Knowledge of industry standard interfaces, such as LPDDR, ONFI, AXI is an advantage


• Proven experience in scripting languages such as Python / Perl / TCL


• Good written and oral communication


• Excellent Team Player


• Positive attitude, well‑mannered mature behavior is must


• Proficiency in AI tools like Claude, CoPilot and more is expected.


• Comfortable using AI internal (Copilot/Claude)
