Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Product Security Engineer

Summary

As part, a member of an R&D team, the Product Security Engineer works in close collaboration with the project & cybersecurity lead on assigned tasks and provides inputs to the design and testing of the new product/project. The engineer also provides guidance to software developers on their security issues, engages in design reviews, and helps resolve security issues.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform threat modeling, security risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing on various medical products and projects.
• Provide/Implement security guidance and best practices in the design and development lifecycle of various medical products.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and evaluate industry standards.
• Determines required tasks and completes them on time with no supervision
• Identifies and communicates potential risks with appropriate mitigations
• Supports other engineers on their designs, and also receives guidance from Specialists or Principal Engineer

Experience

• BS Degree (preferably in a technical discipline)
• 8+ years of engineering experience, or comparable experience
• 6+ years of security engineering experience
• Experience is preferred in/with vulnerability scanning, static code analysis, threat modeling, security risk assessments, penetration testing, cloud security (Azure), web application security, mobile device security
• Strong Organizational and communication skills
• Proficient problem-solving skills
• Strong Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
• Experience in the medical device industry and FDA Regulations is preferred
