Job summary

TechBlocks in Ahmedabad/Hyderabad/Gurugram is hiring a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer / Tech Lead to embed security early in the software development lifecycle.

The role demands 7+ years of experience in Application Security and hands-on work in CI/CD security, SAST/DAST, and container security. You will collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to build secure development practices, tune security tools, and promote shift-left security across projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Application Security, DevSecOps, or Product Security.
• Hands-on experience implementing security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of secure SDLC, shift-left security, and application-layer risks.
• Experience with SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, container scanning, IaC security, or DAST.
• Ability to balance security with delivery speed with engineers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Integrate security controls early in the SDLC, including code, dependencies, secrets, and container checks.
• Build and improve secure CI/CD guardrails to catch vulnerabilities before release.
• Partner with developers to drive secure coding practices and reduce friction.
• Manage and tune application security tools, including scan results and policy thresholds.
• Support vulnerability triage, remediation tracking, and risk-based prioritization.

Position: Sr. DevSecOps Engineer / Tech Lead - DevSecOps (Application Security)

We are looking for an Application Security Engineer with strong Shift-Left Security / Secure SDLC experience to help embed security early in the software development lifecycle. This role will work closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to build secure development practices, automate security checks in CI/CD pipelines, and improve the overall application security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate security controls early in the SDLC, including code, dependency, secrets, and container security checks.
• Build and improve secure CI/CD guardrails so vulnerabilities are identified before release.
• Partner with developers to drive secure coding practices and reduce friction in adoption of security controls.
• Manage and tune application security tools, including scan results, false positives, and policy thresholds.
• Support vulnerability triage, remediation tracking, and risk-based prioritization across development teams.
• Contribute to secure SDLC standards, developer enablement, and shift-left security best practices.

What Were Looking For

• 7+ years of overall experience, with relevant experience in Application Security, DevSecOps, or Product Security.
• Hands-on experience implementing security controls within CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
• Good understanding of secure SDLC, shift-left security, and application-layer risks such as code vulnerabilities, open-source dependency risks, secrets exposure, and container security.
• Experience with one or more areas such as SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, container scanning, IaC security, or DAST.
• Ability to work closely with developers and engineering teams to balance security with delivery speed.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Experience with modern DevSecOps or AppSec tooling in enterprise environments.
• Exposure to cloud-native application security and policy-driven controls.
• Certifications in application security, cloud security, or DevSecOps are a plus.
