Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience designing and implementing Applications.

• Proficient in scripting Python, Bash, C#, or similar.

OVERVIEW

The Sr. DevOps Engineer will act as a technical expert to advance the Infrastructure and CICD operation toward the scalable and cloud ready vision through automation, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). We are looking for someone with extensive experience in across the Software development lifecycle and either has prior experience with DevOps or is willing to learn how to develop, integrate and support DevOps CICD systems.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Experience in DevOps tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Backstage, HashiCorp Vault and security/quality tools.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD frameworks to streamline software delivery pipelines.
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines for owned solutions.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements by automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery for greater scalability, etc.
• Implement policy-as-code, compliance automation, and governance frameworks to ensure security, auditability, and best practices.
• Partner with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to enfor DevSecOps principles and improve software security posture.
• Work with stakeholders including the Product, Developers, Data & Analytics teams and support their infrastructure needs.
• Design and participate in Disaster Recovery for owned tech stacks.
• Participate in patching and upgrades of the owned tools
• Comply with audit and other reporting requirements.
• Lead cultural change for adoption of new technologies.
• Influence and participate in the transformation process by identifying the likely Hosting topology, approaches and platforms that will be used.
• Translation of strategy and architecture into a highly available and secure technical implementation, in accordance with best practices.
• Continuous learning and monitoring, and optimization of the cloud implementation for technical and cost efficiencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Total 6-8 years of experience in designing and implementing Applications.
• 3+ years of experience in GitHub/ GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, CICD Operations.
• 2+ years of experience in GCP and Infrastructure as a code tool like Terraform, Ansible, designing cloud solutions, etc.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions workflows.
• Coding experience with AI assistance.
• Experience in Gen AI & Agents/Agentic AI.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, C# or similar languages.
• Understanding of Monitoring and Observability Tools like Datadog, Cloud Monitoring.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience in troubleshooting and debugging deployment pipelines and DevOps toolset.
• Strong knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) and deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions workflow.
• Strong knowledge on Linux and/or Windows Administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing security best practices (DevSecOps, compliance, policy enforcement).
• Familiarity in installation and upgrades of systems like JFrog Artifactory, JFrog Xray, HashiCorp Vault.
• Experience in leading small projects as a technical lead.
• Ability to mentor, coach, and uplift a team of DevOps engineers.
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills and good Communication Skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Has significant experience in DevOps implementation and in evolving practices and ways of working through multi-disciplinary teams, business frameworks and culture.
• Development experience on the Microsoft stack, Python, AI skills (coding assistant tools like CoPilot, etc.).
• Experience deploying and running applications on Linux in containers.
• Knowledge of deployment of custom applications written in .NET Core/ .NET Framework, Python on different platforms like Windows servers, Kubernetes, and cloud.
• Google Cloud and/or Azure experience.
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or similar certifications in cloud and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Kafka, API gateways.
• Experience in Monitoring and Observability Tools like Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, InStatus.
