Job summary

EisnerAmper LLP is seeking a Senior QA Developer to design, develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated tests across web, API, and database layers. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, API, database, and release validation testing.
  • Review and execute manual and automated test cases across web apps, APIs, databases, and platforms.
  • Analyze results, document findings, and ensure testing evidence is complete and accurate.
  • Support QA documentation and artifacts with application changes.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Perform SOAP/REST API testing, SQL/database validation, XML/JSON validation, and data verification.
  • Support cross-browser, load, performance, and security testing.
  • Report defects, track issues, and support defect lifecycle and production issues.
  • Collaborate with business, product, and development teams; participate in Agile ceremonies.
  • Mentor junior QA members and promote QA best practices.

The Senior QA Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing manual and automated test cases across web, application, database, and API layers. This role will work closely with development, business, product, and technology teams throughout the project testing lifecycle to ensure platform quality, reliability, scalability, and production readiness.

What Work You Will Be Responsible For
Test Planning and Execution

Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and test cases.

Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing support.

Review and execute manual and automated test cases across web applications, APIs, databases, and application-based platforms.

Analyze test results, document findings, and ensure testing evidence is complete and accurate.

Ensure QA documentation and test artifacts are maintained and updated with application changes.

Automation and Technical Testing

Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Java/JavaScript, JUnit, Robot Framework, or similar automation tools.

Participate in automation scripting, test framework improvements, and reusable test asset development.

Perform SOAP/REST API testing, SQL/database validation, XML/JSON validation, and backend data verification.

Support app-based automation testing and cross-browser compatibility testing.

Support load, performance, scalability, security, and availability testing activities.

Defect Management and Production Support

Report defects, track issues, validate fixes, and support defect closure through the defect lifecycle.

Perform root-cause analysis support for defects and production issues.

Perform production support activities, including issue analysis, fix validation, regression testing, and release validation.

Report defect status, testing progress, risks, dependencies, and quality metrics to QA leads, managers, and project stakeholders.

Collaboration and Agile Delivery

Work closely with business analysts, developers, product owners, and technology teams during the project testing lifecycle.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, test planning, defect triage, and retrospectives.

Coordinate with development and business teams to analyze and resolve platform issues.

Support continuous communication across QA, development, business, and project teams.

Process Improvement and Team Support

Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, automation coverage, test data management, and overall product quality.

Mentor junior QA team members on testing practices, automation standards, defect management, and documentation expectations.

Support continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, templates, and standards.

Promote quality ownership, documentation discipline, and adherence to QA best practices.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, test automation, or related technology roles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and executing manual and automated test cases.
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, API, database, and release validation testing.
  • Experience with defect reporting, defect lifecycle management, retesting, and closure.
  • Experience working with development, business, product, and technology teams during the project testing lifecycle.
  • Working experience with Selenium, WebDriver, JUnit, Java, JavaScript, Core Java, Web Services, HTML, XML, SQL, and JSON.
  • Experience with SOAP and REST API testing tools.
  • Experience managing app-based automation testing.
  • Experience with Agile test methodologies.
  • Experience supporting production issue analysis, fix validation, and release readiness testing.
  • Ability to report QA status, risks, dependencies, and quality metrics to leads and stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with load, performance, scalability, availability, security, and compliance testing.
  • Experience verifying highly available systems for performance, effectiveness, growth, scaling, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Prior participation in a complete ground-up product deployment.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Zephyr, Robot Framework, or similar QA/test management tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar DevOps tools.
  • Experience with test automation framework design and maintenance.
  • Exposure to cloud-based applications, SaaS platforms, or enterprise applications.
