Job summary

Target's Data Science & Engineering team in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Data Scientist to design, implement, and optimize scalable ML solutions for Roundel. You will work across data science, software engineering and product management to deliver production-ready models.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of ML experience, strong programming skills (Python/Java), and hands-on expertise with Hadoop/Spark and ML frameworks. Excellent communication is essential.

Position Overview

As Senior Data Scientist, you will join a Data Sciences team responsible for building ML solutions for Roundel. You will play crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimising highly scalable machine learning solutions in production.

Requirements

• 5+ or more years of extensive experience in Machine Learning models.
• Experience in developing and optimising the scalable machine learning solutions for various business use cases.
• Work in partnership with data scientists, software engineers and product managers to understand the business requirements and translate them to machine learning solutions.
• Strong experience in one of the general programming languages (Python or Java). Familiarity with Big Data frameworks Like Hadoop and Spark is essential. Familiarity with Machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Pytorch or Keras is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to clearly tell data driven stories through appropriate visualizations, graphs, and narratives
• Self-driven and results oriented; able to meet tight timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a quantitative field
• Experience in designing, implementing, and deploying Machine learning models in production environment.
