Sr. Data Engineer with Data Vault Experience

We are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer with strong hands-on Data Vault 2.0 modelling and design experience, advanced SQL skills, and solid data warehousing fundamentals. The role requires practical experience with the GCP stack ( BigQuery , Dataflow, Cloud Composer ) and strong exposure to Dataplex . Candidates should be proficient in taxonomy, ontology, and designing agile data models that separate and organize data domains effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Data Vault 2.0 models (Hubs, Links, Satellites) using best practices.
• Define and maintain taxonomy and ontology frameworks for domain separation and agility.
• Build scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer .
• Implement governance, classification, quality rules, and lineage using Dataplex .
• Develop complex SQL transformations and optimize performance for analytical workloads.
• Collaborate with architecture, product, and analytics teams to deliver governed, scalable data models.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience in Data Vault modelling & design .
• Advanced SQL skills and strong data warehousing fundamentals.
• Practical experience with GCP BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Dataplex .
• Knowledge of taxonomy, ontology , and metadata-driven modelling practices.
• Exposure to Workday data structures and HR/People Analytics domain understanding.
• Exposure to dbt , Snowflake , or Databricks .
• Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud-native engineering best practices.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
