Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and manage data pipelines in Snowflake using DBT, with strong SQL and cloud experience. You will design ETL/ELT processes, ensure data quality, and collaborate with engineers and analysts to deliver scalable data solutions in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key capabilities include Snowflake SQL, DBT modeling, and orchestration with Airflow, plus familiarity with AWS and data warehousing concepts. Consideration for Python and Git is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL expertise and familiarity with Snowflake-specific SQL (SnowSQL).
• Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and model management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, commonly AWS, for integrated workflows.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and star/snowflake schemas.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow is often preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling and Transformation: Develop and maintain data models using DBT inside Snowflake.
• ETL/ELT pipelines: Ingest data from APIs, data lakes, and on-prem systems into Snowflake.
• SQL Development: Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Data Quality and Testing: Validate data and test DBT models and Snowflake objects.
• Collaboration with teams: Work with data engineers, analysts, and architects to deliver scalable data solutions.
• Automation and Deployment: Use CI/CD pipelines for DBT deployment and schedule via Airflow.
