Job summary

Narwal is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Pune (hybrid – 3 days in office) with 6–9 years of experience to design, build, and maintain modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Snowflake, dbt, and Google Cloud Platform skills, plus Python and SQL for data processing and automation.

You will develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, optimize data models in Snowflake, and collaborate in an Agile team to deliver high-quality data solutions across BI and analytics

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on Snowflake and dbt experience.
• GCP experience including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, or Composer.
• Strong SQL and Python programming skills.
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
• Build, optimize, and manage data models, transformations, and data marts in Snowflake.
• Develop and support data ingestion pipelines on GCP.
• Write efficient SQL and Python code for data processing and automation.
• Optimize data performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement data quality, governance, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions.

Data Engineer (6 8 Years) Snowflake, dbt & GCP

Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Engineer with 6 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance data pipelines in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
• Build, optimize, and manage data models, transformations, and data marts in Snowflake.
• Develop and support data ingestion pipelines on GCP.
• Write efficient SQL and Python code for data processing and automation.

Must-Have Skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apache Airflow or Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Snowflake and/or GCP certifications are a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
