Job summary

Nextpower India Private Limited seeks an experienced Azure Data Engineer (6-8 years) to design and optimize data pipelines on Microsoft Azure. You will work with MySQL, ADLS Gen2, and data warehousing concepts to deliver scalable data solutions.

The role involves building, maintaining, and governing data pipelines, lakes, and warehouses while collaborating with data scientists and business teams to enable data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (PySpark preferred).
• Experience with data modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience in building data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Ensure seamless integration of data from disparate systems and applications.
• Work with MySQL databases for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain data lakes and data warehouses on Azure; ensure data quality and governance.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining data pipelines and data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MySQL, data modeling, and cloud-based ETL/ELT processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure Data Factory.


• Ensure seamless integration of data from disparate systems and applications.


• Work extensively with MySQL databases for data extraction, transformation, and performance tuning.


• Develop and maintain data lakes and data warehouses on Azure Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across systems


• Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing in MySQL


• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver data solutions.


• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline performance and reliability.

Required Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

• Solid experience with MySQL: Query optimization Stored procedures Indexing and performance tuning

• Familiarity with REST APIs and data integration techniques


• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.


• Familiarity with Power BI or other visualization tools.


• Experience with cloud databases such as Redshift, Synapse, Snowflake, or Firebolt.


• Understanding of data quality tools and techniques.


• Knowledge of modern data architectures, including Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) design patterns.


• Experience working with building code through AI frameworks.

• Domain experience in supply chain management, logistics, or finance analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
