Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking an SAP EPPM Functional Specialist and Delivery Lead in Bangalore to own the SAP EPPM domain from implementation to operations. You will work with partners, stakeholders, and delivery teams to deploy SAP S/4HANA solutions and provide post-go-live support, governance and continuous improvements.

The role requires strong SAP EPPM/PS/PPM experience, end-to-end S/4HANA delivery, and solid FI/CO integration knowledge.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of SAP experience with EPPM/PPM/PS.
• At least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation (Greenfield or Brownfield) for EPPM/PS.
• Strong configuration across PPM, PS and CPM with FI/CO, MM and procurement integrations.
• Knowledge of core FI/CO: GL, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, cost centre and internal orders, period-end close.
• Experience in SLA-based environments: incidents, changes, operational stability, vendor coordination.
• Understanding of implementation methodologies, governance, estimation, capacity planning, testing and release management.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines and resolve complex functional issues.
• Strong written and spoken English; able to engage with business, IT and vendors.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, CS, information systems, business administration or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure and optimise SAP S/4HANA PPM, PS and CPM across project structures, WBS, networks, milestones and budgeting.
• Lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis and monitoring of batches and interfaces.
• Drive delivery plans from demand through deployment, with end-to-end lifecycle management and proper controls.
• Support integrations across PPM, PS, CPM, FI/CO, MM, procurement and reporting; perform core FI/CO work.
• Lead vendor onboarding, manage performance and build dashboards showing KPIs and project health.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer; align with SAP best practices, Clean Core, data quality, security and compliance.

As an SAP EPPM Functional Specialist and Delivery Lead, you will own the SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management domain for Novo from project implementation through ongoing operations. Acting as the functional specialist and delivery lead, you will work closely with implementation partners, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to design and deploy solutions on SAP S/4HANA. You will also be responsible for post-go-live support, service delivery, capacity and demand management discussions, stakeholder engagement, and continuous enhancement implementations for the EPPM landscape to meet evolving business needs.

What You’ll Bring

• 8–10 years of relevant SAP experience, with strong functional expertise in SAP EPPM, PPM and Project System (PS).
• At least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation, including hands‑on Greenfield or Brownfield work for EPPM and PS, plus experience in support, rollout, upgrade or transformation programmes.
• Strong configuration experience across PPM, PS and Commercial Project Management (CPM), and their integration with FI/CO, MM, procurement and connected applications.
• Working knowledge of core SAP FI/CO processes and configuration, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Asset Accounting, cost centre and internal order accounting, and period‑end close.
• Experience in a service‑level‑based organisation, with responsibility for incidents, changes, operational stability and vendor coordination.
• A solid grasp of implementation methodologies, delivery governance, estimation, capacity planning, testing and release management.
• A track record of delivering high‑quality outcomes under tight timelines in business‑facing roles, and of resolving complex functional issues in a structured, sustainable way.
• Strong written and spoken English, and the confidence to engage independently with business, IT and vendor stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, business administration or a related discipline.

Useful, But Not Essential

• SAP certification in PS, EPPM or a related S/4HANA area.
• Domain experience in engineering, construction, IT services, manufacturing or another project‑driven environment.
• Experience with LSMW, BDC and S/4HANA data‑migration approaches, and ABAP debugging knowledge to speed up issue resolution with technical teams.

What You’ll Do

• Design, configure and optimise SAP S/4HANA PPM, PS and CPM – from project structures, WBS, networks, milestones and phase approvals to portfolio items, decision points, budgeting, availability control, settlement and financial KPIs.
• Keep Run‑the‑Core stable by leading incident resolution, root‑cause and problem management, monitoring of batches and interfaces, and preventive improvements.
• Turn prioritised demand into clear delivery plans and drive the full lifecycle – requirements, design, configuration, testing, UAT support, deployment, hypercare and documentation – with changes managed through to closure under the right controls.
• Support integrations across PPM, PS, CPM, FI/CO, MM, procurement and reporting, and carry out core FI/CO functional work, including period‑end processes.
• Lead vendor onboarding, work allocation and performance, and build dashboards that give visibility of KPIs, project status, risks, capacity and operational health.
• Build lasting capability through training, workshops and knowledge transfer, while ensuring alignment with SAP best practice, Clean Core principles, data quality, security, audit and compliance requirements.

Based in GBS Bangalore, you will work daily with onshore colleagues and global business partners. Product Architects will be your partners in making sure designs are scalable and Clean Core compliant before build. With the IT Product Owner, Process Leads and business stakeholders, you will align priorities and governance through the relevant SAPeco forums. You will also work closely with technical teams and delivery partners – setting clear expectations so work moves at pace.
