Job summary

CrowdStrike is looking for a Senior Engineer to join the Falcon Exposure Management team. You will design scalable backend services, data pipelines, and assessment capabilities for global exposure management.

Work across distributed systems, APIs, and data sources to deliver actionable risk insights. Requirements include 10+ years in distributed systems, proficiency in Golang/Python/Java, and experience with Kubernetes, cloud infra, and AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
• Advanced programming expertise in object-oriented languages (Golang, Python, Java, or similar).
• Proven microservices experience with designing scalable REST APIs and distributed patterns.
• Experience with container technology and Kubernetes.
• Strong cloud infrastructure knowledge.
• Solid distributed systems understanding (concurrency, parallel processing, scalability).
• Message queue proficiency (Kafka or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices that power assessment and exposure management.
• Research, analyze, and develop assessment content and logic for industry standards.
• Handle customer escalations to identify and resolve assessment findings.
• Map assessment content to relevant compliance frameworks.
• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, normalize, and correlate data at scale.
• Build robust data processing systems to integrate assessment logic with multiple data sources and third-party providers.
• Design and implement database solutions using RDBMS/SQL, NoSQL, and distributed caching.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures, optimize performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and influence technical decisions.
• Own end-to-end delivery from design through production deployment.
• Apply AI technologies to enhance workflows and engineering efficiency.

About the Role:

We're seeking a 10+ years of experience, highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Falcon Exposure Management (FEM) team at CrowdStrike. You'll design and develop scalable backend services, data pipelines, and assessment capabilities that help organizations discover, assess, and manage their exposure and risk. You'll work on a globally distributed, fault-tolerant cloud ecosystem that processes high-volume data and delivers actionable insights.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices that power assessment and exposure management capabilities
• Research, analyze, and develop assessment content and logic that evaluates organizational exposure against industry standards
• Handle customer escalations to identify and resolve assessment findings
• Map assessment content to relevant compliance frameworks
• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, normalize, and correlate data at scale
• Build robust data processing systems to integrate assessment logic with multiple data sources and third-party providers
• Design and implement database solutions using RDBMS/SQL, NoSQL databases, and distributed caching solutions
• Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures, identify performance issues, and optimize system reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and contribute to technical decisions
