Job summary

Amgen in Hyderabad seeks an SAP Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA OTC processes (order management, billing, invoicing, logistics) across manufacturing sites. You will align with business stakeholders, configure SAP SD, and ensure integration with WM, EWM, TM and third‑party systems.

Responsibilities include architectural reviews, detailed specs, test cases, and post‑go‑live support while adhering to pharma regulations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s in CS/STEM with SAP S/4 SD experience.
• Bachelor’s in CS/STEM with 3–5 years SAP S/4 SD experience or Diploma with 7–9 years IT/SAP SD experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4 HANA OTC processes (Order management, billing, invoicing, distribution and logistics).
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP SD Advanced Intercompany and other SAP modules and third-party systems.
• Conduct architectural reviews and assess risks with mitigations.
• Create and maintain technical docs, specs, test cases, and user manuals compliant with pharma standards.
• Participate in ERP implementations through blueprinting, gap analysis, testing, go-live, and post-production support.
• Participate in SAFe sprint planning and execution to sustain S/4HANA ecosystem.
• Develop AI/ML driven solutions and leading practices to accelerate value.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this vital role you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Oder to Cash solutions (Order management, Billing , Invoice management, distribution and logistics ) across all the Amgen manufacturing and distribution sites. This role focuses on leveraging SAP technologies to streamline and enhance OTC processes, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices. As an SAP Solution architect, you will work closely with operations IT a nd business stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and configure solutions, and provide post-implementation support. This position requires deep expertise in SAP S/4 HANA Sales and Distribution with a good understanding of SD integration with WM/EWM, TM and Shipping functionalities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4 HANA OTC processes (Order management, billing, invoic e management, distribution and logistics)
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP SD Advanced Intercompany (AIC) and other SAP modules (MM, FI, PP, TM, ATTP, GTS, E AS , Vistex and EWM) as well as third-party systems
• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Creation and maintenance of critical documentation such as technical assessments, configuration specs, functional designs, test cases, and user manuals. Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in ERP implementation projects as part of the physical financial product team, including blueprinting, gap analysis, testing, go-live, and post-production support.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to deliver and sustain Amgen's S/4HANA ecosystem utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Develop innovative solutions that drive speed to value via AI/ML and leading practices

Basic Qualifications and Experience :

• Doctorate degree OR
• Master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 1 to 3 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP S/4 SD OR
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 3 to 5 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP S/4 SD OR
• Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 7 to 9 years of IT or years of SAP implementation experience in SAP S/4 SD

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in configuring and customizing sales advanced intercompany , delivery & billing document types and Item categories, and pricing, ATP, output determination, Text Determination , credit Management, with Inter nal subcontracting and Intra / Inter company STO’s
• Strong understanding of Global trader service, d istribution and logics , warehouse management process .
• Ability to design and implement solutions based on business requirements , including debugging and root cause analysis .
• Experience in creating detailed documentation, including functional specifications, test cases, and compliance reports .
• Ability to test Function Module, BAPIs and knowledge on ABAP Debugging

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Transportation management and ATTP.
• Experience with integrating SAP S/4 SD with other SAP modules like Sales force, Vistex, Model N and ATTP.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies for software delivery and process improvement.
• Business Partner setup including Partner group, role and relationship mapping
• Knowledge in Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM)
• Knowledge in Master Data Governance tool (MDG)
• Good Knowledge in Fiori Apps

Professional Certifications :

• SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP S/4 Hana Sales and Distribution
• Agile Certified Practitioner ( preferred )
