Job summary

Heptarc is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer for a hybrid role based in Bangalore/Hyderabad. You will manage cloud infrastructure, automation, and security across Azure, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of DevOps experience, strong collaboration skills, and a hands-on approach to incident response and change management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Resource Management and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems and respond to Datadog and Azure alerts to ensure uptime.
• Oversee IT changes and ensure compliance with policies.
• Address vulnerabilities from NIS and NGC reports and improve security posture.
• Support penetration testing efforts and security scans for risk reduction.
• Manage secrets securely using Azure Key Vault.
• Use Azure Resource Management and Azure DevOps for deployment and scaling.
• Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform to streamline operations.
• Use ServiceNow for incident management and change tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Monitoring: Manage and respond to Datadog and Azure alerts to ensure system uptime and performance.
• IT Change Management: Oversee US IT changes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and minimizing system disruptions.
• Security and Compliance: Analyze and address vulnerabilities as identified in NIS Vulnerability Reports and NGC Action Reports.
• Security and Compliance: Conduct SRT scans and collaborate on penetration testing (PenTest) efforts to enhance system security.
• Security and Compliance: Manage and secure secrets using Azure Key Vault.
• Infrastructure Management: Utilize Azure Resource Management and Azure DevOps for efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
• Infrastructure Management: Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate and optimize processes.
• Service Management: Use ServiceNow for incident management, problem resolution, and change tracking.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Resource Management and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and Azure Alerts.
• Familiarity with security practices, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Understanding of IT change management processes.
• Experience with ServiceNow for IT service management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Azure or other relevant DevOps certifications.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
