Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Power and Thermal Engineer to join the Silicon Solutions Group. You will architect and productize power and performance controllers, collaborate across hardware, software and system teams, and drive deployment of features into products.

The role requires 5+ years in silicon bring-up and a strong background in power/thermal management, with proficiency in Python or C-family languages and a passion for process improvement.

Qualifications

• B. Tech or M. Tech in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in silicon bring-up, validation, and productization.
• Experience with control systems, power/thermal controllers and management.
• Expertise in silicon power, transistor/device physics, power modeling and measurement, active power management.
• Proficiency in Python, Perl or C programming languages is a plus.
• Self-starter with strong skills in multi-tasking, influencing, communication, presentation, and consensus-building.
• Enthusiastic, responsive, and keen on process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop test methodologies of next generation power and thermal management features with cross-functional teams.
• Drive board design requirements and FW/SW design requirements to characterize the silicon.
• Create methodologies for deployment of features into products.
• Collaborate with system architects, designers, chip and board designers, software/firmware engineers, and others to bring products to market.
• Train and mentor engineers to solve complex challenges.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Responsible for developing test methodologies of next generation power and thermal management features and solutions working with multi-functional teams across the company.
• Drive board design requirements, FW/SW design requirements to characterize the silicon
• Create methodologies for deployment of features into products.
• Work alongside system architects, designers, chip and board designers, software/firmware engineers, HW/SW applications engineering, process/reliability authorities, ATE engineers, and silicon operations, in a fast-paced, high-energy, collaborative work environment to bring industry-defining products to market.
• Training and mentoring highly motivated engineers to solve complex challenges

What We Need to See:
