Responsibilities
- Focus on solution development and take complete accountability of the pre‑sales life cycle support.
- Drive the overall process of application engineering to ensure customers receive the best solution per requirements.
- Maintain enterprise account ownership, collaborating with lead account managers and clients as the primary technical contact for pre‑sales engineering of chillers.
- Directly work with enterprise clients such as Vantage, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Keppel, Air trunk, Micron, and others from the pre‑tendering phase through project handover.
- Engage in value engineering by offering optimized solutions using available products for the best techno‑commercial offering; work with chiller factories and the global products team on special quotes and complex technical compliance.
- Conduct thorough sweet‑spot analysis to ensure specifications are included early in bill‑of‑materials projects.
- Collaborate with the BOD/sales team to understand project needs and provide technical chiller solutions and specifications at the basis‑of‑design stage.
- Provide global exposure by working with the regional sales team on pre‑sales engineering for projects across the APAC region.
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills through knowledge sharing.
- Support field product management by collaborating with life cycle solutions, sales, global products, and factory teams to analyze trends, identify product and solution gaps, and recommend new features to enhance products.
Qualifications
- BE/ME Mechanical or equivalent degree.
- Demonstrated high level of knowledge of chillers – screw, scroll & centrifugal.
- Solid understanding of the principles of large refrigeration systems and associated equipment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in chillers product selection process, preparing selections, specifications review and quotations.
- Ability to perform successfully in a multifunctional‑team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Quick learner with a keen eye for problem solving.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated good leadership skills.
- People‑management experience is an added advantage.
