Job summary

DXC Technology India Private Limited seeks an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, code, and test software on IBM platforms using COBOL, VSAM, and DB2. You will participate in a collaborative team environment in the life-insurance domain, leveraging JCL and related tools.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of programming or testing experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently within a structured team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Math or related field.
• Three+ years of programming or testing experience.
• Experience with COBOL, VSAM, IBM tools, DB2 and JCL.
• Experience with relational databases to support programming software.
• Domain Life Insurance knowledge (LOMA 280/290 a plus)

Responsibilities

• Develop and test mainframe applications using COBOL, VSAM, IBM tools, and DB2.
• Collaborate with team on insurance-domain projects (LOMA 280/290 knowledge a plus).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software performance.
• Work with databases and ETL processes as needed.

• Technical skillset Mainframe, COBOL, VSAM, IBM tools, DB2,EZT, JCL
• Domain Life Insurance (LOMA 280 or 290 will be added advantage)

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred
• Three or more years of experience in programming or testing
• Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software
• Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software
