Job summary

Cvent, Inc. is seeking a strategic, analytically driven FP&A professional to join our Commercial sales finance team as Senior Analyst II/Assistant Manager, supporting a $230M+ bookings portfolio.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, partnering with sales and marketing leaders to shape strategic decisions and drive operational excellence. The role requires strong Excel, SQL, and data-analytic skills, with experience in Salesforce, Sigma, Snowflake, and Adaptive Insights.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of FP&A, financial analytics, or techno-finance experience.
• Experience in SaaS or multinational environments is preferred.
• Strong data analytics skills and ability to build dashboards.
• Excellent communication and ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting for the Enterprise Sales org with strategic alignment.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic, analytically driven FP&A professional to join our team as a Senior Analyst II/Assistant Manager supporting the Commercial sales division with $230M+ in bookings. This role will be instrumental in driving financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic insights to support business decisions and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will be adept at budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and will work closely with business leaders to provide financial guidance and actionable insights. Proficiency in tools such as Salesforce, Adaptive Insights, and advanced Excel is essential, with a solid understanding of data analytics and an eye for identifying process improvement opportunities through automation

In This Role, You Will:

Strategic Finance & Business Partnership

• Leading budgeting and forecasting processes for the Enterprise Sales organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
• Perform detailed customer cohort analysis, including retention trends, churn drivers, and headcount analysis, to inform strategies for improving marginsDedicate to work on all automation and AI projects in the GL team
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for focusing Marketing and Sales efforts to ensure maintenance of healthy pipeline coverage.
• Deliver high-impact executive presentations and financial models to support decision-making
• Track and prepare analysis around Annual Recurring Revenue and Retention Metrices (GRR/NRR).
• Conduct detailed variance analysis across budget, forecast, and actual, providing clear and actionable commentary.

Automation, Analysis & Process Excellence

• Drive automation and process streamlining by internal enhancements and working closely with data analytics team.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Integrate and analyze data from platforms including Salesforce, Sigma, Snowflake, and Adaptive Insights to deliver unified financial insights.

Here’s What You Need:

• 2–6 years of experience in FP&A, financial analytics, or techno-finance roles, preferably in a SaaS or multinational environment.
• Working knowledge of advanced analytics languages (E.g. SQL, Power BI, Sigma, Python) and dashboarding tools for data analysis would be preferable
• Knowledge of AI applications in finance, including the use of agents, prompts, ML models to enhance forecasting, scenario planning, and decision support.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, PivotTables, and VBA.
• CA, CMA, CFA or Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or Economics.
• Hands-on experience with financial systems such as Salesforce, Sigma, Snowflake and Adaptive Insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
